Lewis Hamilton POV

I couldn't help my smile seeing her with the Mercedes shirt. I loved it. The guys were completely shocked as their expressions clearly showed it.

"I'm Sebastian, I'm sorry for the awkward silence. We didn't even know Lewis had been dating someone" Seb says and Abby lets out a laugh.

"He is messing with you all. We are married but that's because we got married while drunk in Vegas, we weren't ever a thing. The surprise is expected" She says and they seem to understand.

"I never thought that would be how you got a wife" Charles says and I let out a laugh.

"I got a good one though, no regrets" I say and they smile.

"I'm happy that you are happy" Seb says and I know it was honest.

"I will end my walk with them, I will meet you at the garage, end your talk" She says and I nod.

"Go ahead, I will meet you there in a few minutes" I say watching her leave with Angela and Susie while they talked.

"So... She is beautiful, congratulations" Charles says proudly.

"She has a good sense of humor, I likey her already" Daniel says excitedly.

"She fooled me, I thought it was some random person" I say and they laugh.

"She did it on purpose. Make it work, you two will be great together" Valtteri says and I nod.

"I will get back to my wife now. I will see you tomorrow, good luck" I say and they nod while everyone goes their own way.

"Are you ready for this weekend? Having her must be more pressure to do right" Valtteri says and I nod.

"I'm ready but it's obvious I want her to see me at my best" I say while we were almost getting to the mi

"You will be fine" He says going to talk to one of the engineers and I see Abby talking to Angela.

"Can I have my wife back?" I ask and Angela nods with a huge smile while leaving to talk to Susie.

"I found out a few things about you today and I really wish you had told me before I seemed like a complete fool" She says and I look at her confusedly.

"I would like to know a few more details of what you might know" I say and she lets out a laugh.

"7 world championships won? And you let me tell you that you would be a champion someday? Do you like that I seem dumb to everyone around you?" She asks and I notice she was worried.

"Abby, I like that you don't know who I am, I like that you call me Lew because no one cared enough to give me a nickname. I'm Lewis Hamilton, a record breaker. I want to be something else. I like your innocence and your excitement with the smallest things. I don't want you to think you are dumb or a fool. I'm really sorry, this was an honest mistake" I say and she gives me a smile.

"Just- Tell me things when I make stupid comments. I want to know my husband properly or people will have all sorts of names to call me after the gold digger comment gets out" She says and I nod.

"Don't worry, I will be here to protect you. No one will say what they shouldn't. You have a whole squad watching your back and protecting you" I say and she smiles.

"We should do one of those contracts splitting assets so you don't lose anything if this doesn't work out. You must have a lot of money and properties to your name" She says but I shrug.

"Abby, I'm not doing that. I want this to work and if it doesn't I know we can get to an agreement" I say and she nods.

"Should we go for a walk and maybe you can show me around?" She asks and my smile is back.

"Of course, I would gladly show you the city" I say and we say our goodbyes before leaving.

We walked around town, we had dinner at an amazing restaurant and then went back to the hotel. I was tired but it was completely worth it, I was happy and I am liking this. I like having someone to see every day, someone who will be by my side and share the little things of life with me. The weekend was being good, I took a lot of photos. Abby always kept her distance because she was probably scared of being seen too close to me.

I know people are going to talk sooner or later, they will find out she is not just a friend. But I won't be the one to do it against her will, I won't even do it now because we are still trying to get to know each other. So now here I am, I just got out of my car, I got weighed and did all the steps I should before celebrating with my team.

I hug Toto who was at the front and I start searching for her, Toto understands and looks back, finding her and bringing her to the front where she had the biggest smile. She hugged me and I hugged her back.

"I am so proud of you" It's the only thing she says and it's honestly all I needed to hear. My parents, my family and my team tells me that but it's different.

I did the interviews, watched all the best moments and went to the podium. I was all soaked in champagne and my eyes only looked for her who always kept herself behind the team, Angela who is usually at the front with Toto was at the back with her. She was the one who I wanted on front row. I finally was able to meet her at hospitality and I see her at a table watching the paddock and drinking a soft drink, probably Coca-Cola.

"Is the view that good?" I ask and I know I caught her by surprise with the look she gives me, her heart must have skipped a bea.

"Lewis. Are you trying to kill me? You will win nothing from that" She says with her hand on her chest.

"I had to. You looked lonely though" I say sitting by her side.

"You were drenched in champagne, go take a shower, I will wait for you a bit more" She says and I nod.

"I will get back and you can't get rid of me" I say getting up and she nods.

"Be fast then. The view is getting worse" She says as I walked away. Is she saying I am a good view? No. She isn't like that, the paddock was probably getting boring to watch.
