♫ And when they've grown up
You're still the girl in the club
When I held your hair up, 'cause you had too much♫Abby Hewitt POV
I got to Alison and she was there with Lucas, he saw me and smiled.
"Lucas! I haven't seen you since the wedding" I say excitedly after giving him a hug, they are high school sweethearts, 10 years together before marrying, she was waiting for Lucas to finish college and it was worth it.
"I know, we usually never saw each other much, you were always restricted on that. Is your husband treating you well or do I need to have a word with him?" He asks worried and I shake my head.
"No need to, he is great. You will like him when you meet him one day"
"You look happier, I loved the pics and the videos. He really gave you the best wardrobe there was" Alison says when I sit in front of them.
"Lewis is all about the best of the best. I have met all his family, they are the nicest. I've been called a gold digger by someone in his team and I believe that got the guy fired on the spot. His boss and friends in there are really nice too" I explain and she was surprised that I was insulted.
"Lewis handled it well then, who does that guy think he is? If he is jealous he should get out of the closet first" Alison says and we laugh.
"Girls, I'm gonna get going. We have to schedule a weekend to go all together to a race. I always wanted to go and now it's gonna be even more exclusive than ever, I can't believe I will meet the one and only Lewis Hamilton and that I will have paddock access" He says excitedly.
"I will talk to Lewis and we will schedule a weekend that's close to here. Do you want to see a particular one?" I ask and he seems to think about it.
"I mean, I would love to go to Brazil" He says and I nod.
"That can happen, I will talk to him when I get home and I will tell Alison" I say and he leaves after kissing Ali and hugging me.
"So, tell me everything! How is the wedding going?" She asks excitedly.
"I mean, it's going great. I like Lewis, a lot. He treats me as best as could be imagined" I say and she looks suspicious.
"But?"
"I don't think he sees me as his wife. I don't think he is attracted to me, I tried seducing him discreetly but I don't think I am his type. I've researched his exes and they are gorgeous and I'm not. I think he sees me as a friend. I'm not good at flirting but we only hug and he puts his arm around my waist and around me a lot. But that's it" I say embarrassed to be worried about it.
"Girl! He is definitely attracted to you, I saw some pictures online and I saw the videos you sent me. He looks at you even more intensively than Lucas looks at me. He is crazy about you" Ali says but I couldn't believe it.
"Why wouldn't he kiss me then?" I ask confused.
"He probably thinks it's too fast. You never had a boyfriend, you just got out of being closed in your parents' apartment for years. He doesn't want to pressure you. He is waiting for you to take the first step, that is the right thing in this situation. Get home and kiss him, he will kiss you back. And don't ever see his exes again, they are exes for a reason. You are his wife" She says confidently.
"I will think about it" I say and she smiles happily.
I told her all about how the weekend, what I saw, all about his family and how nice they were. She was loving it. When it was almost dinner time we decided to go our separate ways. I went home to find Lewis in the living room seeing something on the television.
"Hello there. I will order food, you don't have to cook, take a quick shower and it will be here when you get out" He says when I enter the living room.
"Thank you! I will be back in a few minutes then" I say leaving for my room, I take a good shower, put on a sweatshirt, and some shorts before leaving for the living room.
"Is Alison okay? Did it go well?" He asks interested.
"She is! She was excited to know everything. Lucas, her husband, was also there for a bit, he is excited to watch one of your races, he apparently loves you and wants all the VIP experience. He looked like a little kid talking about it" I say happily, finally everyone around me is happy.
"When can they go? I will take care of it" Lewis says with a smile.
"He says he would love to go to Brazil, is that a good time?"
"That's perfect, Brazil is great. I will take care of it, don't worry" He says happily and I rest my head on his shoulder. The food arrives a few minutes later and we start eating, after that he put on a series and we stayed on the couch watching it.
"Lewis" I call him and he looks at me expecting me to talk.
"What? Is there something wrong?" He asks when I stay silent.
"Hm, no. Forget it" I say quickly backing down from kissing him. It would help if he put a shirt on.
"Abby, do you need to talk? I'm here for you darling" He says clearly worried.
"That was not it. I, hm, shit" I say nervously, I could never kiss him first. The fear of rejection was killing me slowly.
"Just say it, I can deal with whatever you have to say" He says impatiently.
"Do you feel attracted to me? I would like to know because I saw the people you've previously dated and I'm not a supermodel or whatever. I-" I say but am interrupted by an outraged Lewis.
"Of course, I feel attracted to you, I married you even when I was in the drunkest state of my life. They are my exes for a reason love" He says and I nod.
"Okay, that's better" I say nodding my head frantically, that was better indeed.
"You don't need to be insecure, you are gorgeous and you could be a supermodel" He says putting his hand on mine while I stared at the couch contemplating the life choices I was about to make.
I went ahead, I gathered all the courage I never knew I had and I kissed him. He took a few seconds but he kissed me back, one of his hands circled my waist and the other was on my hair intensifying the kiss and I was loving it.
