♪ Someone who was worth the wait
Of all the years of my heartbreak
But I know now I found the one I love ♪Lewis Hamilton POV
Don't ask me what happened. I just didn't want to let her go. I could've gotten married to anyone, this was some sign. Maybe I was supposed to help her or maybe she was supposed to be my wife, I just want to find out. I wanted to protect her and get her out of this so I will do it. I won't lose anything on this. Maybe some money, but that's the least.
She and Alison had the best friendship I ever witnessed, she was happy to see Abby out of there. She had all these plans they could never make before me. She wanted it all: double dates, vacations together, a Formula 1 weekend, you name it. I found it sweet. I liked it and I wanted Abby to do it all. And now I will spend more time here than in Monaco. My family will love this. I can see it already.
"How are we gonna do this? I can't just go there and say I'm leaving. I don't even know if he has a gun or weapon" She says when we were leaving the restaurant.
"I can call the cops. Say we got married, they have your belongings and you want to move out and take them. I can also be more private and hire some bodyguards to go there with us" I say and she looked scared. I instinctively put my hand on her back and she flinched.
"Call the bodyguards, I don't want the police there. He would freak out" She says and I nod.
"Let's go to the pharmacy before. Your back must be bruised" I say but she shakes her head.
"I'm fine"
"Are you going to make me lift your shirt?" I ask and she looks at the floor.
"I will go to the pharmacy and get some painkillers but I'm okay. In two days it will just be bruised, no pain" She says and I shrug.
"It will be the last bruise they will ever cause you. Go to the pharmacy and send me the address so I can contact the security guards" I say and she nods giving me a smile.
"So you are bossy? Nice to know" She says and leaves with Alison who kept her huge smile.
I called the bodyguards to the place and got there before they did. The bodyguards got here and then the girls. Abby went ahead, knocked on the door and I saw a man open it, definitely her dad.
"What is happening, darling? Who are all those men?" He asks confused, I was right behind her so his eyes locked on mine.
"Hello. I'm Lewis. Abby is moving out and we want to take her stuff. Nothing more than what's hers" I say and he tries to touch her but I quickly pull her to me and then she goes behind me.
"Who the fuck are you?" He asks pissed off and being held by 3 men.
"Your daughter's husband. She is leaving, whether you like it or not. Let's go get your stuff" I say and get in.
The house was small and it was a mess. We got to her room and it had no door. He took the door out. Who does that? She filled the suitcase with the most important things and I quickly realized she didn't have much more than that. Her mom was nowhere to be seen and we headed to the door.
"When did you get married Abby? Is this a joke?" He asks and I rest my hand on her waist showing I was still by her side.
"I got married a month ago. I'm sorry, I can't do this anymore. This is no way to live" She says and walks by his side. He tries to jump on her but it was useless.
"I will give you a call when I get to the car and you can let him go" I say and they nod.
"This was stressful" I hear Abby whisper as we headed down.
"Are you okay?" I ask and she nods.
"Thank you for protecting me. I- I never had that. I know we don't really know each other but I can't thank you enough for what you are doing" She says when we get to the car and turns to face me.
"I don't know you, not as much as I should. But I will still call you my wife because you are my wife and I will protect you as such. Get used to it" I say and she smiles, I open her door and she gets in after waving goodbye to Alison who watched us. I waved goodbye too and got into the driver's place and drove off.
I called them halfway home and when we got home I put the car in the garage and we walked to the entrance. As soon as I open it I saw she looked around and Roscoe appeared from the living room.
"Who's this cutie?" She asks kneeling down and petting him which he obviously liked.
"That's Roscoe. He's my dog, almost like a child" I say and she smiles widely.
"I never had a pet" She says looking up at me with a smile and I smile too, I was liking this way too much "And how old is our good boy Roscoe?" She asks with a baby voice and I laugh.
"He's 8 and the goodest boy on the planet" I say and she stays there a few minutes. She looked happier for Roscoe than for the house and cars.
"He's hungry, okay" She says when he goes to eat and I show her the house.
"My room is down the hall, you can get the guest bedroom and maybe one day we will be sleeping together on the main bedroom" I say when we were upstairs and she nods.
"That seems fine" She says happy and goes inside her room ignoring mine completely. "Can I keep my door though?" She asks heading out and we both laugh.
"I think you can, it's more aesthetically pleasing" I say and she laughs.
"You are funny too. You get my sense of humor. I like you Lewis" She says happily.
"We will do some shopping tomorrow so see what you need. I live between here, Monaco, and hotel rooms. I travel for almost 9 months of the year. Monaco is close to most races so I stay there and I come here for my family" I say and she listened closely.
"Basically if I need a toothbrush I should buy 3, one for this house, another for Monaco, and another for travel"
"Exactly. Essentials you should buy like 3 of each so make a list and we will take care of it tomorrow and get you a new closet to have here and to travel, your clothes are too old, I love fashion, you need to do better on that, you have everything to kill it in anything" I say and she smiles.
"Are you saying I'm pretty? Because I will take that compliment any day of the week dear husband. Don't get mad when I steal your spotlight" She says and we both laugh.
This is going to be interesting.
