I'm so grateful to everyone who's taken the time to read this little short story of mine and left votes and comments. They make me so happy, and just being able to share my work with people who enjoy them is the best.
I'm sorry if you're unsatisfied with this ending but this was actually a short story I was working on with the prompt to write about one chapter in a character's complex life. I was actually given a word limit that I just barely missed but this was actually really good for my writing in some ways.
I hope it was enough to understand and fall in love with the characters as much as I did and I really hope you all actually liked it. I might one day write the rest of their story because I do actually have it all planned out (somewhere in a google doc) and maybe one day I'll have the energy to write it all.
