"Y/N! Thank earthbread you're awake!" A young lady exclaimed, placing a full cup beside me. I glanced upwards, noticing it was Cotton Candy. "The king was so worried about you!". I was out of energy to talk at this point. I just let her continue her sentence as I gazed out the frosted glass windows, which of course, were nothing but deep snow stretching for miles. Reaching over for the glass, I took a small sip to make sure it wasn't too hot - it tasted like chocolate :0 - yet, I accidentally spilt some on the sheets when the door suddenly busted open.

"I'll take it from here." spoke a stern voice, walking over to me. The maid rushed to the side of the room. "I said, BEGONE!". The maid left the room after that. It was just me and an angry king. He placed his hand on my forehead and asked if I was okay. Giving him the opposite of what he preferred for a response, I nodded my head and turned around so I was facing the other side of the bed.

"Come on darling, don't be like that" he calmly spoke, combing his gloved hand through my hair. Eventually, that nice tone disappeared again. This time, he attempted to manipulate me with a sad tone: "W-what have I-I ever done t-t-to...you?". Affogato knew how blatantly obvious it was that I wouldn't respond to him.

"Darling. Look the fuck at me," he demanded, forcefully turning me over to face him once more, "Listen, if you want me to love and care for you, there are three rules you must follow...One, you're never to escape the palace. Two, never give me an attitude. Three, you must obey my commands or else they'll be consequences. Oh and there's another one. Four, you're always to listen to me and not fall asleep and go off somewhere else".

Really? Like I ever even wanted love from him. Hazel probably would've in the past, but she wouldn't now. Affogato leaned down closer and kissed my forehead as he went off and carefully shut the door. Well, now was the time to go to sleep. Yet, I couldn't. I could've sworn I heard something in my sleep. As if, a glass window was being opened by someone. They'd usually come to check on me at midnight, as they muttered something under their breath.

"I wonder who they were?"
