Chapter 7 - Two Sides

My eyes widened, did he mean it? I couldn't believe it. I wanted to know if he loved me and wanted to date me. I was so shocked, that I sat there in utter silence. However, that wasn't the best choice; Affogato looked pretty nervous and embarrassed. He tapped his fingers anxiously. "Are you there Y/N?" He asked, looking away from me.

"Of course, I'd love to!" I randomly answered, hugging him tightly. He fell backwards with me on top of him. I was excited, this was my first boyfriend. Affogato smiled and wrapped his arms around me. We were pretty burnt out after all the talking; well, rather studying. That night, I fell asleep in his arms for the first time.

At roughly 7 am, an annoying noise rang in my ears. I groaned, rolling over onto the other side. I was in the middle of dreaming about stuff that would make no sense to you, like for instance: A cracker dancing to pop music or something. I have weird dreams, not going to lie. "Are you getting up or what? Do you want to be late for your second day?-" Affogato spoke, doing his tie. I had forgotten he was even there. I arose from the bed and sat upright. It was pretty dark, but it was near winter.

Reluctantly, I dragged myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom, draping his blanket over my shoulders. I wasn't naked, it was just cold outside. Twisting the cold tap, I let the water pour down, feeling like I was the main character in a dramatic movie. Perhaps even in a horror movie. Anyways, I started singing this random song I heard on Tik Tok and started dancing eventually. That was quickly cut off when I almost slipped and made a racket. Pounding noises were heard at my door. "That was pretty awkward-" I facepalmed, wrapping a towel around my waist and heading out. Affogato wasn't anywhere to be seen. Thank goodness. The towel was slowly falling off my waist. I hurriedly got dressed, looking like a fucking mess, and darted out of the room. Well, maybe that wasn't the best idea.

I ran head-first into Espresso, who was shouting at Affogato. He caught me before I almost fell backwards, gritting his teeth at the pain. He shot his brother a glare before turning back to me. "Watch it," he sternly spoke, letting go of me. Affogato grabbed my wrist and dragged me to the car. We sat in the back seat as the driver turned on the radio. He held my hands in his and glanced out the window every few minutes. It was a pretty awkward drive, but at least it wasn't too bad. 

Affogato let go of my hand and pulled out his phone, scrolling through his messages. I peered around to see what he was doing. He narrowed his eyes and moved away from me, not breaking contact with his phone. He appeared frustrated in a way. Maybe it was Espresso? I didn't think much of it until I saw his eyes widening and blushing. "Uhh...what are you doing?-" I asked confused about what he was doing. He put his phone away in a hurry and turned back to me. 

"Nothing. Also, it's a bit early now but meet me in the cafe later at six," he quickly mentioned, rushing off into the corridor. Isn't he meant to be guiding me around school though? I'm pretty sure last night he confessed to me that he loved me- or was that a hideous dream? 

Sighing, I open my phone, noticing a small notepad had fallen out of his pocket. My curious instinct kicked in at that moment, picking up the notepad and reading it to myself. It had multiple phone numbers of different girls, each with the dates above. Today was the 17th of November. There was a girl named Kylie, who had the date 17/11/22 above it. My eyes narrowed at it, becoming slightly suspicious of him. Suddenly, I saw him come rushing back outside to me, panting with exhaustion. "Sorry about that, got a little busy. Have you seen my notepad anywhere?"

I shrugged in response, sighing a breath of relief that he didn't catch me. Later, I planned to while I was waiting for him, I'd read through his notes. Maybe that wasn't the smartest of ideas, but did I know what I was doing?...
