I stared at the ceiling, dreaming of being with Hazel. I yearned to see her once more - I deeply and truly missed her. Her beautiful smile, the way she'd make me laugh. Sighing, I tiredly arose from the bed and ambled to the window. The window was half-open. I remember Affogato shutting and locking it before he went to sleep. Weird. Turning back around, I was greeted by a slender shadow staring down at me. Their purple eyes vibrantly glowed in the dark evening. It appeared they had long hair, with some kind of streak at the centre. They held a sword, which had a purple jewel embedded on the handle. They knelt and bowed their head. I was confused at their sudden movement.
"Y/N, I presume?" they asked, still bowing. They had a deep masculine tone. It sounded familiar - like one of the Ancients. I nodded in response, even though they probably wouldn't notice in the dark. He cleared his throat, coughing afterwards. "In that case, I'm D-" he was stopped by another figure in the doorway. Affogato. That little shit. The small light lit by the lantern lay in mixed lines across the figure's body. He had ebony black hair, with a white streak trailing down; shimmering purple eyes, and knight's armour. He looked an awful lot like Dark Cacao. Yet, he was missing his crown. Perhaps it was a copycat. Perhaps, someone stole his crown. Even the tone sounded like him. I couldn't believe my eyes.
He rose from his knees and held me close to him, holding out his grape jam blade in defence. "Stay away from Y/N, or you'll regret it" Dark Cacao demanded, tightening his grip on me. Affogato's face stared at us in horror. Well, I could say at least I was in safe hands. I put all my trust into Dark Cacao defending me. He may not be the king, but he is a great ruler and leader.
"Oh yeah? Prove to me, my liege, how will I regret it?" Affogato confidently asked, exaggerating his words. Dark Cacao laughed in response, smiling. Something was up. Maybe he had planned an escape route. He didn't care that Affogato had his crown. As long as he kept his trusty sword, that was the main thing. He disappeared for years, then suddenly returned to save me?...
"I dare you to take a step closer, you cocky shit" Dark Cacao dared, dropping his sword. I watched in horror as Affogato rushed to get the sword. But, a short person from behind tackled Affogato to the ground, as Dark Cacao slowly grabbed his sword with ease. What the actual fuck? Why was everyone taking their time?
"Thank you, Caramel Arrow. You are an exceptional watcher. " Dark Cacao praised, bowing his head, furrowing his eyebrows at Affogato. "And as for you, the oh-so-great king, you'll be facing criminal charges,". I couldn't believe what just happened. An Ancient king enters my room, gets rid of Affogato, and then saves my life. It was a lot to proceed with. Caramel grabbed his crowned and placed it on Dark Cacao's head.
"Ah yes, I forgot. Y/N, would you like to see your friend Hazel? We have healed any wounds she may have. You must thank Pure Vanilla for that," Caramel mentioned, patting my head and leaving the room behind Dark Cacao. Two watcher's entered the room and escorted Affogato to the dungeons. I would've expected him to frown at me. Instead, he grinned at me, followed by his creepy sadistic laugh. Of course, Affogato was a psychotic king with a crazy mind. That night, I managed to receive some rest, yet my thoughts kept pounding in my head,
"I wonder what Dark Cacao has planned for his kingdom, me and Affogato next..."
