"Darling Y/N" - [Affogato x Reader]

Chapter XIV - The Ending

Abruptly, I was snapped out of my deep sleep by chatter; there were two people in the room. One with a distinct purple faded crown, the other with a grey hood. "Ah, they are awake!" Licorice exclaimed, pointing to me. The King strolled other with a smug grin plastered across his face. 

"Finally given up on escaping?" He asked, lifting my chin so we made eye contact. His vanilla-scented breath hit my face. His tall figure loomed over my defenceless body. "Well, actually I don't need an answer. There's no use in running Y/N. "

My body started shaking, I was worried about what he would do next as a punishment. My breathing became short and shaky - my heart pounded. Just as he moved closer, that was my breaking point. "Please don't hurt me! I'm begging you; I'll do anything just please don't hurt me!" I cried, looking away from the monster before me. Affogato pulled back shocked. He wasn't expecting an answer like that. From there, I tilted my head down and started crying to myself. Surely he would just tell me to shut up and stop being a crybaby?...

Instead, he attempted to comfort me: "Hey- uh hey...calm down...there's uh...no need to worry, I weren't going to hurt you Y/N. I'm sorry if I scared you...". He had a guilty tone in his voice, something I'd never heard before. It took me by surprise. He stuttered slightly whilst speaking. Perhaps he'd never comforted anyone before. 

Affogato untied the rope and spoke: "I'm sorry about the way I treated you and uh...here. I'll take you back to your place. I should've known that you deserved better in the first place. I'm deeply sorry Y/N, all I wanted was you to myself yet I was asking for too much...". We stood there in silence before he gestured his hand for me to take with a warm smile. He was hiding his feelings. Holding back his sadness, he asked me if I was ready to go home. 

Taking his hand, I got up from the chair. Affogato started walking away from the room, and I caught up with him quickly. There was an awkward silence lingering behind us every step. Nobody said anything. Not even small talk. After a few minutes of strolling past the Cacao corridors, we came to the Citadel doors. Affogato let go of my hand and smiled. He was depressed, it wasn't hard to spot. "I guess it's goodbye, Y/N, Good luck in your future..." He spoke, glancing at the corner of the room. "What are you waiting for Y/N? I'm certain you'd want to leave after what I'd done to you". 

I couldn't hold the feeling anymore. That was the past. How'd he change so quick? Just yesterday I hated him with all my guts. Now I feel different. I turned around to face him and grabbed him. "Y/N what are you-" I paused him by kissing him. Affogato looked at me confused, shocked, and blushing. 

"You see...ok maybe you were harsh and vile to me...but that was the past," I spoke, holding his hands, "But, I want to make something clear. I...I-I love you...Affogato...". I paused a lot during the sentence, thinking through every word. He looked at me for a second and beforehand apologised for what he was going to do. 

He pushed me against the wall, holding my waist. Affogato leaned in and kissed me passionately. He moved back for a breath and did it again. We pulled away a second time, just looking at each other. Affogato still seemed in disbelief that I loved him. I moved closer to him and whispered. " I want to stay here with you. It may be hard to believe but, I like you better...now that I've gotten to know a bit about you..."

"I love you Y/N..." Affogato responded, moving a hair out my face, "Would you stay by my side...forever?..."

I could've done better on the ending, but I wanted to give it to you as soon as possible. The next series will be explained on the next page when I come to write it. We're nearly at 1000 reads :D (I'm planning to write the next series once we hit 1k) Also, to make it more interesting, I found a song that almost fits this series - Take a hint by the Victorious Cast.
