November 25, 1963...
Five froze. His eyes scanning over the destruction outside of the alley as a military tank drove down the street in front of him. A crumpled newspaper, trapped underneath a pile of bricks and rubble caught his attention, he hurried towards it, crouching down to read the headline.
'SOVIETS ATTACK U.S. JFK DECLARES WAR ON REDS'
"Soviets attack US?" Five mumbled.
Five stood up, as gunfire flew by him "No, this can't be right" Five wasn't caught up with every historical event that had happened over time, but he would have remembered a war.
Five looked around, the buildings that lined the street were destroyed and on fire, with thick grey smoke filling the sky. On the ground in front of him was a solider, his hand on a civilians shoulder, promising to get him to safety as more soldiers ran onto the street with their guns raised.
"What the hell did we do now?" Five asked.
