"I love the smell of that fresh county air, don't you, darling?" The Handler asked Lila as Inanna, Five and Diego approached them.
"Makes me want to vomit" Lila said.
"What do you want?" Five asked looking between the mother and daughter as they stopped in front of them.
"To watch you suffer" Lila stated.
"I knew I was right" Inanna whispered tucking her hands into her pockets again. The Handler smiled.
"What about me?" Diego asked.
Lila turned to Diego with a look of disgust on her face. "You're not even worth my wrath" Diego chuckled quietly at her angered response.
"Easy" The Handler said. "We're here on official business".
"And what business is that?" Five asked.
"As the head of the Commission, I've decided to eliminate the criminals responsible for the assassination of the former board of directors" The Handler said. Inanna tilted her head, her fingers curling around the knife in her pocket.
Diego chuckled. "Yeah, right. We didn't kill the board" Diego said.
"Uh, actually, Diego" Five interrupted him. "That's not entirely accurate".
"You didn't tell them" The Handler said as Diego look at Five in disbelief, half wondering when Five had killed the board. "Oh, Five".
"Five, what the hell did you do?" Diego asked.
"It wasn't just Five, don't forget little miss sweetie pie" The Handler wiggled her fingers at Inanna.
Inanna's expression didn't change as Diego glanced to her and then back to Five, her eyes never leaving the Handler.
"We did what we had to to get our family home" Five said to Diego. "Until somebody reneged on our deal" Five nodded his head very slightly over to the Handler.
"Somebody wouldn't have reneged if somebody could've met a simple deadline. Alas" The Handler tilted her head, tucking her hands into her coat pockets.
"You set us up to fail" Five said.
"You set yourself up to fail, friend. You know your pretty little wife never trusted me, and you dragged her into your mess anyways with you and your brothers and sisters. Kinda the running theme of your little life, isn't it?" The Handler chuckled.
"You never gave me a reason to trust you" Inanna retorted, the Handler nodded in agreement.
"Dude, I can't believe you killed the board of directors" Diego whispered harshly. "You have no idea how messed up the Commission is right now".
