"It takes 2 seconds to tell a lie, but one second to tell the truth" - Unknown
I look forward to seeing Belle. I have, every day of this week so far. Except, I couldn't spend as much wanted time with her, because, well I was the teacher, and some students just couldn't leave me alone. Constantly. Question after question asked.
I wasn't helping her concentrate. Student after student would walk up to me. She'd look up. Every. Single. Time.
Belle'd given me a grim smile and looked back down. By doing that, I felt useless to her. As if I was no need to her. Strange enough, I wanted her to be the one, constantly asking the questions, bugging me over and over again if she didn't understand.
But Belle being an intelligent girl didn't need further instructions. She got to work, as she hid get head in her papers. Beautiful, beautiful Belle didn't need my help.
"Belle" I spoke as I was sitting next to her.
She looked up in an instant with warm features on her face. "Yes?"
" I'm going to help out the other students, okay love? "
                                 "Oh... Okay Louis"
                                 Glum expression at this point.
"Come," I got up from my desk. She followed with her notebooks in arm, clutching them tightly. We walked over to Abigail and Stephanie. Their eyes made their way to us. "Girls, do you mind including Belle, while I'm off helping the rest? "
                                 They approved by nodding.
Belle looked at me alarmed. But why...? I grinned reassuringly. "There's nothing to be frightened of, trust me" I whispered low enough for her to hear. Only her. The only one I want listening to me. Every stupid foolish word to leave my lips.
She looked at me for an extended time. I didn't mind. "Okay love?" I asked.
Belle nodded in a cautious manner. I grinned, placing a hand on her back as I grabbed a chair for her to sit on.
                                 "Thanks" she said.
I beamed. Any little thing she does can get my heart shocked by lighting. Massive surges caused by the smallest of smiles.
I left, for those needing help since they weren't listening to my lecture earlier.
                              Belle.
Louis left me under the charge of Stephanie and Abigail. I didn't want to be with them. I wanted him to be the one sitting next to me. Even if no words were exchanged, his company was enough. More than enough.
I bit my lip and rested my head on my hands as I saw him leave. Away from me, my problems and I. Gone.
He looked back in my direction. I was entranced by his lake blue eyes. He licked his lips. My heart beat refused to sit still. It was racing and wasn't going to stop until it ran by the finish line. He looked away. I was sure we stared at each other for an eternity. When I looked at the clock, only a matter of seconds had passed. Time had reached a halt and continued. It deadlocked for Louis and I. No, no. It didn't. I'm Delusional.
He pitied me and didn't think of me anything more than a student. Nothing more. That's what teachers do anyway, don't they? They favor you for a moment, and the moment you turn around, they favor another. I sound selfish, don't I? Well, it's nice to have someone make you feel unique, and special. As if all the time they have left in this world is dedicated to you, since they give you the time of day for your needs. I'd like that again.
I had it. Only three people in my life have ever given me the time of the day. My mum, she was the kindest person you were ever to encounter. She gave me all the time in the world. Even if it were for the tiniest of details in my day, from seeing my classmates out of school to watching my classmates play pranks on each other. It didn't matter much. Either way, she listened to every word I was to speak. I knew her so well. I confided all my secrets to her. She was never one to tell. Not even my father.
The second person to have ever made me feel that way was Miss Riley. Once mum was in the... Accident, Miss Riley was there to comfort me. Every time. She greeted me with open arms. Every time.
Miss Riley was a second mother to me that school year, but once Timothy was going through the same struggle, I wasn't Miss Riley's top priority anymore. I wasn't her best interest any longer. Her best interest was Timothy. I was replaced by an outsider. He didn't belong to her comfort. I did. Miss Riley didn't have any more wings to keep me under. So, I was left move on alone.
The 3rd person to had ever give me the light of day was Louis. He asked questions about me. He took interest in my life. It felt entirely newfangled. No one ever showed much interest in me.
                              Louis.
"Okay Joey, so you have to put yourself in the creator's shoes"
                              "Literally?!"
I looked down and took a deep sigh. I bent down to look at the ground. I faltered a smile and looked back up at Joey. He was serious. Dead serious.
I was going to be here for a while.
                              One seconds.
                              2 seconds.
"Yes Joey. Literally" I sarcastically stated.
Right then, I heard affray behind me, so I decided to see what had occurred. By turning around. My breath hitched once I realized I was part of the affray.
