I don't remember climbing into bed last night, but I woke up in a large king bed, covered in silk sheets. The back of my dress was untied enough to allow me to sleep comfortably, and I knew it had to be Damian's doing.

I turned over to feel for Damian's body, but he wasn't there. I shot up and looked around the room in panic as I couldn't find him. And just when I was about to get up to search for him, I heard the water shut off in the bathroom.

Damian came out a few seconds later, only wearing a towel.

"Morning," he smirked as he noticed I was awake. He came over and left a kiss on my cheek before heading to his closet area to get some clothes. "I hope you don't mind, but I asked some of the maids to bring a few of your dresses here. They are in your closet."

"My closet?" I asked, still in a daze from seeing his chiseled chest.

"When you move in, you are going to have to have a place to put your things. I gave you the bigger one because I don't really have that many clothes." Damian walked out in black pants and a white shirt. "It's right here," he pointed to the door right beside his closet.

"Oh," I nod, but the words aren't registering with me yet.

"So," he dries off his hair with his white towel as he looks at me. Having his hair disheveled like this was sexier than anything I have ever seen before. "Are you hungry?"

I closed my thighs to prevent Damian from smelling my arousal, but it was already too late. Damian looks at me, and suddenly his whole expression changes. "I am not really feeling like breakfast right now."

"Rachel," Damian walks over and places his hand on my forehead. "I think you are going into heat."

"What?" I pulled back in shock. "Why? I have never had my heat before now."

"Heat happens after you meet your mate. And if you don't mate within a certain time... your body goes into heat for you." Damian explains like this is perfectly normal. Except, nothing about this seemed normal to me.

"Oh," I shake my head.

"I can leave," he pulls back, trying to distance himself. I could tell he was already struggling to hold himself back. "If you are not ready, then we can wait. I don't mind."

"No," I shake my head. "We have to mate at some point."

"If you are not ready..." Damian went on to say but I cut him off before he could finish his thought.

"No," I shake my head. "The thought terrifies and excites me. I am ready, but also nervous. I haven't let many people in, and this would be giving you a part of me. But if you know we are going to be together forever... then I want this."

"I would never leave you," Damian swore with confidence.

"And I want to share everything with you," I wrap my arms around my knees to stop myself from rubbing my legs together to ease the pain between my legs. "I won't lie and say I am not nervous, but that is normal. Right?"

I look to Damian for an answer.

"It's normal," he nods as he takes a slow step forward. "I am nervous too."

"You're nervous?" I ask, not sure if I believe him or not.

"I am not the type of person who likes to share my life with others. I was raised to be a certain way my whole life, and I am scared that I might scare you off by letting you see the real me." Damian sat beside me on the bed, careful not to touch me.

"I am pretty sure you couldn't scare me," I chuckled.

"Don't be too sure," he gave a sad chuckle.

"So... we both agree?" I look at him, patiently waiting for his answer.
