Boosfer's face is partially paralyzed, which makes it nearly impossible for him to visibly smile. When he was bullied for it as a kid he started wearing a smiley mask whenever he left the house. He doesn't anymore but he still gets perceived as unfriendly or unmotivated by strangers which makes things like job interviews very difficult for him.

Dev is trans ftm and Boosfer is gay. Boosfer keeps flirting with Dev so he can make him feel like a hot guy (which Boosfer actually sees him as).
