!!! TW (MENTIONS OF) DEATH !!!

TUESDAY, MARCH 25TH 1986 | LIPTON BOAT HOUSE

"is he with someone?" melissa asked as she crawled closer to eddie.

eddie looked out of the window again and nodded.

"patrick and what's-his-name. they're headed to the house, but they have weapons. a bat, a pipe and a..." eddie couldn't recognise the third weapon, but when he did, he turned to melissa with the biggest worry on his face, "what's-his-name's got an axe."

"fuck", melissa muttered.

"that window!" eddie demanded, "look out that window."

melissa immediately ran to the one eddie was pointing to and looked at the trio. she turned to eddie and her face turned to complete worry.

"they're in the house", melissa said.

"that's not bad, right? maybe they won't check here", eddie tried to convince melissa and partly himself.

"no, they know. you ate... whatever that was and did you clean the saucepan? i don't think so", melissa said.

eddie sunk to the ground, but then changed his mind and looked for the radio. when he found it, he immediately called for dustin.

"hey, dustin. you there? it's eddie. you remember me, right?" he said as he sunk to the ground so the murderous trio wouldn't see him from outside, "hey, uh, if anyone's there, i really think mel and i might be in a bit of trouble here. okay? wheeler?"

melissa rushed to eddie and took the walkie talkie out of his hands, deciding to call for them herself.

"guys, melissa here, we really need your help, okay? jason, patrick and what's-his-name found us. they're looking in the house right now, but i guarantee you, they'll be checking the boat house really soon", melissa spoke, but when no one answered, the blonde hit the walkie talkie in frustration and yelled, "anybody?!"

eddie looked at the blonde and shook his head. no one was going to answer. they knew that much. he stood up and pointed at the boat, hinting their only escape would be the boat.

"unload it. otherwise, the thing won't hold", eddie softly demanded.

melissa walked straight to the boat and began to unload everything, leaving one oar to help them get away later. she found a pack of cigarettes and caught eddie's attention. she gave him a look that asked if he wanted it and when he nodded, melissa threw it at the twenty year old.

"try henderson again", melissa told eddie as she kept unloading the last bits of rubbish on the boat.

eddie nodded and took the walkie talkie as he looked outside the window again, trying to find the murderous trio in the house.

"henderson? wheeler? anyone? we could really use your help right now", eddie spoke into the walkie talkie before he saw jason looking out the window, "dustin? please. are... are you there?"

"eddie, help me with the tarps, please", melissa said.

"nevermind", eddie spoke into the walkie talkie, threw it at melissa and he turned to help her.

he helped her with two of the tarps, but they decided to keep one for emergencies. he pointed at a rope that was keeping the boat from being able to get out onto the water and told melissa to untie it, taking the rope on his side for himself to untie.

"done", melissa said after a few seconds.

"get in the boat. now", eddie insisted.

melissa did what he asked and as soon as eddie was finished untying the rope on his side, he pushed the boat out of its place in the boat house. just when the boat was almost completely out of the boat house, eddie managed to jump on it and he immediately took the oar.
