That one Wheeler

Basement chats

     After 15 minutes Mike and I finally got to his house.  He parked his bike and we ran inside the house. Luckily his parents were at work so if we stayed until 3 they wouldn't know.

"I'm so embarrassed. My brothers going to kill me when I get home." I drop down onto the couch next to Mike who already was eating chips.

"I know, Nancy's going to flip out. I thought I told her El and I broke up but she must've forgot." Mike says as he shoves four chips in his mouth. 

"Maybe we should've told them before hand. What if they wouldn't care as much. Like if we sat Steve and Nancy down and told them ourselves instead of that random girl announcing it. " I stare into Mikes pretty eyes for a moment before we start to speak again.

"That would've been much easier than the way it went today." Just as Mike finished we heard banging on the door. 

"Mike Wheeler open this damn door right now. Me and Nancy need to talk to the two of you." Steve shouts. I nod at Mike to open the door, I was worried Mike and I would have to break up. Nancy made us sit at the kitchen table and Mike and I were next to each other on one side while Nancy and Steve were on the other. 

"Okay so I think we all know why we're sitting at this table." Nancy places her hands like she was at a meeting in an office building. Me and Mike nod and turn to see what Steve is going to say. 

"How long has this been going on?"

I turn to mike and we both say, "around 11 months."

"11 MONTHS?" Steve and Nancy both shout. 

"Yes, after Eleven moved Mike figured it was time for them to break up. After a couple months Mike and I started to talk a lot and hang out, after three weeks we started dating. We didn't tell anyone besides Max and Will because we knew you guys would totally flip out. So that's all." I take a gulp of air because that whole time I didn't take one breath. 

"I would've been okay with it if you didn't keep it a secret but since you did I don't know how I feel." Steven groans.

"But why? You and Nancy didn't tell anyone either! Y/N didn't even know you guys  dated! My parents only figured it out because I told them." Mike spits out.

At this point I didn't know what to do, no one was happy, Nancy's jaw was opened the whole time and Steve was furious. Mom and Dad will be mad too. 

"Steve please don't tell our parents. They'll kill me." I look at him waiting for a response.   

"Oh they will know because I'm to mad to not tell them. You will be grounded for so long it'll be funny!" Steve starts to giggle.

"Steve I know this is wrong but don't be a asshole about it either. Chill out." Nancy gives him a dirty look.

"Fine I won't but don't think you guys are off the hook. There's still consequences." 

I look at Mike nervously as Steve starts saying the consequences.

"You guys have distance yourselves from each other, no hanging out when parents aren't home and differently no fuc-" Mike cuts Steve off.

"Whoa there buddy. We're to young for that shit okay? Besides what different does it make, I would come upstairs when Nancy was supposed to be babysitting me and you guys would be making a TON of noises, so don't even start." 

"Mike! Not the time. You guys have to understand that we have boundaries set for a reason! Understand?" Nancy try's to forget what Mike just said. 

Mike and I nod as we get up and head to the basement. We get down there and start laughing. They assumed Mike and I have made out before, they were that dumb. It was so funny that checked to see what was wrong, which made us laugh even more. 

"They're so dumb! Acting like they didn't do this stuff when they dated." Mike giggles. 

"I know! They would come to my house and Steve wouldn't close his door and all I would see was them making out." We laughed more before we kissed and laid down. I knew this wasn't the end of this discussion though.
