Emergency

Yuri's POV:

The firefighter helps me walk and to get out of the bus. I see just how bad the pile-up was and how bad the bus got, it was so smashed. The firefighter sat me in the back of an ambulance as they checked me over. I swat them away as I didn't need help even though I was struggling to stay awake.

"Lapin, where's Lapin, I need to know where he is."

No one tells me where he is at all so I was getting pissed. I was gonna punch the paramedic for not telling me but I stopped myself. I see the firefighters that helped us running over with Jade in their arms. I see just how bad her body was just from her saving me. She was out cold so they got her on a stretcher. They got her into the ambulance I was sitting in.

"Take her to the emergency room, she's losing a lot of blood." The firefighter shouts.

3rd Person POV:

The paramedic nodded and closed the door. The other got in the driver's seat and drove off with us in the back. The paramedic went to help her and control the bleeding. I do everything I can to stay awake but the tiredness was hitting me so hard. I shake my head to try my best to not blackout.

"S-save her, s-she s-saved m-m-m..." I couldn't even finish what I was saying before everything went black on me.

The paramedic works hard to keep Jade alive as they rush to the hospital. They give Yuri some oxygen after he blacked out and went back to Jade. It took 15 minutes to get to the hospital and they rolled Jade in first. They get her to the emergency room right away. The paramedics went back and got Yuri and brought him in. They get him in a room and seen by another doctor.

Yuri got a room as they determined him to only have small cuts and bruises with a concussion. They have him on meds and on bed rest but Jade was still getting stitched up for her deep cuts. Her underarms, chin, under her bust, and leg all needed stitches. They got her bandaged up and rolled her into the same room as Yuri. The sound of them rolling her into the room woke Yuri up.

"J-Jade," Yuri said all groggy because of the meds and his concussion.

Yuri struggles to sit up but a doctor rushes to Yuri and makes him lay back down so as to not hurt himself.

"You need to rest my boy," The doctor tells him.

"J-Jade and Lapin, I-I have to make sure they are ok." Yuri tries to fight the doctor off.

"Your girlfriend is fine and in the room with you resting. I don't know if we got a patient named Lapin but if he comes in I'll let you know. But right now you need rest, so please lay down and rest. Do you have any family members we can contact?"

Yuri begins to give the doctor his parent's phone numbers. The doctor asked for his "girlfriend's" parents' number. Yuri didn't know that so he just shook his head no slowly. The doctor left the room to call Yuri's parents and give them the news about their son. Yuri looked to his left seeing through the crack of the curtain Jade in the bay next to him. He smiles that she was still alive so he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Luca waits for his sister's bus to arrive at the school but nothing. He tries to call and text her but still nothing. He hears loud tires screaming as the car comes to a harsh stop.

Mrs. Rostislav got out and shouted, "Kira and Maya get in now we need to leave for the hospital."

The two girls rushed to the car. Luca froze hearing the word hospital. He rushed to the car and grabbed the door before it closed.

"What trip did Yuri go on, WHY are you going to the hospital?" Luca shouts wanting an answer.

"Get away boy, why do you care?" Mrs. R said.

"MY SISTER COULD HAVE BEEN ON THE SAME BUS AS HIM, SO TELL ME NOW!" Luca demanded as he shouted.

"The zoo trip, and there was a terrible accident," She said.

Luca stood there scared for his sister, "Please take me with you, s-she could be hurt. I know you hate our family but please I need to make sure she's ok." Luca hated he had to beg their family for help but he was more worried for his sister.

Mrs. R motioned for him to climb in as she couldn't stand seeing a kid near tears. They rush to the hospital they were told their son was at. It took them hours to finally reach the hospital because of the accident on the bridge. The school bus that flipped was still there and Luca can see many body bags on the ground. Luca began to text his brothers and father to turn on the news. Luca was shaking wondering if one of those bags held his sister.

Back in the hospital, Yuri struggles to get to his feet. He stumbles over to Jade's side of the room looking at her sleeping face. She was hooked up with a blood bag that was nearly empty and an IV drip. Yuri held his IV drip stand as he stood next to her bed. He glides his fingers over her cheek moving the strands of hair that cover her face.

"Thank you for saving me," Yuri bent down and placed a super soft kiss on Jade's lips. "I promise you I will pay you back this debt and maybe save your life in return."
