Jade turns around and places the knife on Yuri's chest. Yuri places his hand where hers is, holding the knife there. Their hands touch for a moment as Jade continues to walk. Yuri turns and takes Jade's hand gently making her turn to look at him.
"Please forgive my sister, Miss. Silverattii. I do not wish a quarrel with your family, she's still young and doesn't know any better. My question does still stand, would you accompany me for a dance?" Yuri said with a charming smile hoping to sway the young woman.
Hugh slammed his fists on the desk once again causing the table to crack. Jade raised her hand stopping Hugh in his tracks to beat the man alive.
"One dance shall not harm me Hugh, and like father said we should mingle with people of our own age." Jade turned her head to look at her brother, "Inoltre, molto probabilmente non lo rivedrò mai più, quindi cos'è un ballo?" (Also, I will most likely never see him again so what's one dance?)
Yuri takes Jade's hand gently and leads her to the dance floor. Many in the room stop what they are doing as they watch the two walk to the dance floor hand in hand. Yuri gives Jade a spin around to show off her outfit. He gently places his hands on her waist as Jade places her arms around his neck. They keep their bodies apart from one another so they do not touch. They let their bodies move to the rhythm of the music. They moved so in sync that it was like it was planned and practiced.
At the end of the song, Yuri surprises Jade by dipping her. One arm held her back as the other held one of her hands. Their faces are only a few centimetres apart as they breathe heavily. Yuri helps Jade back to her feet safe and sound. While still holding her hand Yuri bends down and places a gentle kiss on her knuckles. While still bent over Yuri looks up into Jade's eyes with a smile.
"Spasibo za prekrasnyy tanets, miss Sil'veratti.." Yuri said as he stood upright. (Thank you for the lovely dance, Miss.Silverattii.)
"Yesli my vstretimsya snova, ya mogu podarit' vam yeshche odin tanets, mister Rostislav." Jade gives him a smile before turning on her heel and walking off and giving him a small wave. (If we meet again I just might give you another dance Mr.Rostislav.)
Yuri smiles and turns to walk in the other direction, "See you at school Jade."
What Yuri doesn't know is that their families hate one another and he will learn the truth very soon. These gatherings and balls the gangs go to are always held on mutual soil. No guns, no fights and most definitely no killing while at these gatherings. So what will happen on the school grounds? The school like the gatherings is a mutual safe zone but doesn't stop kids from fighting one another. This school houses many gang families and kids so there is always bloodshed no matter who it is.
