Before winter break came around Jade had an idea so she went to her father's office and knocked on the door. He tells her to enter so she enters and closes the door behind her.
"Morning Papa, how's work going?" Jade gave her father a big smile.
"Tiring as always but that's what it takes to run a few businesses. Now, what do I owe to see my beautiful daughter today?" Dexter put the pen down so he gave his daughter all his attention.
"Well for this gathering coming up I have a cute cape idea and I was hoping maybe we can match." Jade walks up to her father's desk placing her design for him to look at.
Jade had someone draw up concept art of what she envisioned not only for her but also for her father's cape idea. Dexter takes both photos and looks them over.
"Sorry bunny rabbit but you know that is not my style for capes," He passes her the photos back.
"I will make you say yes," Jade grins as she takes the photos back and leaves his office.
Dexter sees his mistake as now he knows she will bug him till he cracks. Jade got to work right away, she was having his cape made anyway. She would have small things changed to make sure her father would say yes. Go with a cool vintage black mantle one shoulder retro punk cape. She has the cape be floor length, being the same dark royal blue as his suit and it fades to black near the bottom. It came with a hood but that's not her father's thing so she gets a thick black fur collar instead.
Her cape would have a hood and thick white fur all around the hood and edge of the cape. On her father's cape, she was having their family's name embroidered into the cape itself. Between that day she has been sneaking into her father's office and leaving the updated photos for his cape. He was still saying no but slowly seeing everything coming together he was starting to like the design. Dexter was hating that Jade once again won this fight and that she knew how to wrap him around her little finger.
With a simple short text to Jade, he agrees to wear her cape to the gathering. Jade ran from the living room to her father's office. She entered without bothering to knock and she hugged her father for finally agreeing to wear it.
"You are my biggest weakness and you know it," Dexter glares at his daughter in a joking way.
"Yes I do and I love it so much," Jade gives her father's cheek a kiss. "I love you and thank you, Papa, you rock."
Jade gave him one more tight squeeze before she left while closing the door behind her. Jade was very proud of herself to get him to say yes. She knows her family's sense of style so knew he would change his mind with the design changes she got done.
Winter break came around and there was another gathering of the gangs, they hold one for each season of the year. Of course, it being winter it's a winter wonderland theme so people dress to the theme. Jade went with a stunning dark royal blue sheath column colour block sparkle formal evening dress. It has a stunning jewel neckline, short sleeves, floor length and tulle with pleats sequin. She got a sorceress cape and shoes to match her dress with hand-stitched embroidery to look like snowflakes with pearls and diamonds all throughout the cape.
Yuri was preparing his outfit for the party as well. He was going for more of a darker outfit basing it off black ice. He purchased a black 17th-century gothic medieval steampunk masquerade coat. He pays someone to embroider the coat with the idea of a dark and evil winter wonderland character in mind. Yuri picks a dark gray button-down shirt with a black snowflake necktie, pocket square and cufflinks set. On top of that, he got a steampunk Victorian faux leather patchwork waistcoat casual vest.
Now that their clothes were picked both Yuri and Jade had to pick how they would style their hair. Yuri would stand in front of his mirror with hair products trying everything that came to mind. Nothing seemed to work for him so he took a shower to wash all the product out of his hair. He got dressed, grabbed his car keys and left for the hairdressers to get a haircut. Jade was in the same boat not knowing what to do with her hair as she looked at photos. She was non-stop scrolling.
One day she finds a beautiful chic ponytail updo for long wavy hair. It was perfect to let everyone see how luscious and long her hair is. While the high pony creates a formal look, the curls and delicate accessories add some softness and a sensuous charm to this do. She gave the do a try and she loved how it came out. She adds jewels to her hair with a cute crown to add to her ice queen outfit.
