Yuri just sat on the floor holding his cheek processing what he was told and heard. Yuri believed his parents that got attacked for no good reason. Now Yuri remembers the clothes his parents came home in seeing they really did lie to him. Jade's blood-curdling scream played over and over in his head as no one can fake a scream like that.
As Yuri sat there on the ground he heard his phone ring. He checks seeing he got an email. He opens it to see a link so he clicks it and a video pops up. It was an obstructed view of Jade's and his father's fight. He watches everything his father is doing to Jade and clearly plays dirty. He can see Jade would rather go down with her pride and head held high than begging for mercy. He wanted revenge for what she did to Lapin but nothing like this.
Yuri downloaded the video and saved it to get his parents to talk if they will not spill it themselves. Yuri emailed the account back knowing it has to be Luca and demanded he sends the audio clip as well. He wanted the most amount of evidence he could. In Yuri's family trust, communication and loyalty are massive components they stand by. Arseny killed his own brother for lying and deceiving the family in the past. He trusted his parents to never ever lie to him or his sisters and now they both broke that trust.
Jade eventually woke up and got discharged from the hospital. She was put on bed rest for a few weeks so she still couldn't go back to school yet. Luca brought her school work and assignments for her to do. When in class Luca would video chat with his sister so she can hear the lessons going on. Jade's computer converted what the teacher was saying into notes so she could read them later. Jade's medication from the doctor, makes her drowsy and passes out randomly.
It took a full month for Jade to be able to go back to school but she had to be in a wheelchair. With both her legs hurt she couldn't walk, putting too much weight on her right leg for too long causes a lot of pain. Jade prefers to push herself but does need some help from Luca. Jade hates having to ask for help, it made her feel weak in the eyes of her family. Jade's grandparents on both sides of her family rushed to the house after hearing the news. While her family was busy with school and work her grandparents took the most care of her.
During lunch, Jade was with Luca eating when their friends came up with a gift for Jade. They placed it on her lap and all just smiled at her.
"What did you all do?" She gives them all a confused look.
"Just open it, girl, we think it will lighten the mood," Karter said with a grin.
Jade begins to open the gift and pulls a little sticker which makes her burst out laughing. Luca snatches the sticker from his sister to read it. It had an image of a stick figure with a cast on its arm and leg with bandages on its head in a wheelchair.
"I do all my own stunts," Luca joined his sister in laughing. "You guys have no clue how fucking funny that is OMG."
Jade took the sticker back and peeled it off the backing and placed it right on top of her jade green cast. They gave her several stickers in case she wanted to put them in other places. Luca took a picture of the sticker that's on her cast and sent it to their entire family. Every single one of her brothers and even her father burst out laughing. Blaise had laughed so hard he was crying and Fernando was doing five-minute abs with how hard he was laughing.
Any time Yuri would try to approach Jade to talk or give her something, Luca would stop him with a punch. Luca was gonna do anything to keep the Rostislav family away from his sister. Yuri would never swing back as he knows the consequences of trying to approach her. Soon enough after the eighth time getting punched in the face Yuri stopped trying.
At home, Yuri wasn't talking to his parents since they still wanna lie about what happened that day. He was saving the evidence for the day he inherits his family's business. He was gonna make sure his mother and father pay for lying. Yuri would even ask his parents why they have bad blood between them. His parents would not tell him and he was hatting that they were now hiding something from him.
