Sitting down together on the blanket, looking out into the distance. His arms wrapped around her comfortably, the slow breathing of their chests becoming synced over time.
He seemed to want to say something, but it didn't want to leave his mouth. His Tiger tail swishing in slight agitation.
"What do you think of us?" He spoke quietly. Dreading her answer. He wasn't sure why he cared so much. It made him so anxious. New feelings kept rattling him around because of her. And it made him so uneasy and uncertain. More so than any other time in his life.
She turned around, straddling him and hugging him deeper. Making him feel almost euphoric with her affection, before she violently shook. Reminding him of their actual relationship. So real and sticking all over them like a wet blanket.
The Acid was making him think too deeply.
When she didn't respond he pulled her back to look at her. Cupping her face. She had tears in her eyes like always. Her cheeks were so squishy and pink. Her white hair seemed to flutter around them, softly brushing up against him. Those long eyelashes were damp and sticking together slightly.
She sniffled, making him blink, her face was so mesmerizing he'd lost himself. Remembering his question.
"What am I to you? A Bully? A Hunter?" He searched her expression for an answer, and she grimaced, trying to shrink away but he held her face in place, making her whine and pull away frantically from his grasp. Irritating him. His hands quickly moving to grab her arms, shaking her slightly.
"Huh? Tell me. I want to hear it." He growled. Jostling her around, making her close her eyes and brace herself. His hands gripped her harder and she cried out. Making Damien realize what he was doing and how violently. His eyes squinting as he leaned forward.
It seemed like for a moment he saw a glimpse of purple light, flickering in a vein on her cheek.
Before it all went black. Or at least it seemed too? He was standing, looking down at his very visible hands and feet. Glancing back up into the black abyss that was now suddenly all around him."Alona?" He called out. His voice seemed to echo. And from the void he heard a heavy sob. So deep and wracked with torment. It struck him to his core. His mouth opened to call to her again, but he was cutt off by screaming. Terrible and horrendous, unmistakable screams of dying prey. Echoing all around him. Windows with unclear edges grew, his gold eyes gazing into them, confused and alarmed by what he was seeing.
It was images of the three of them. Damien, Brutus, and Lucid. All tearing Alona apart. Ripping her flesh and eating her limbs. Gouging her open as she screamed in agony. Brutus ripping her open, Lucid tearing her arm from her body, He himself eating her belly like a hungry wild Beast. Grunting and growling as her terrible death rattled cries grew quieter and quieter. Her body jolting with every bite deeper.
He started to breathe heavily as he shifted his gaze all around. Unable to escape the gore and horror that surrounded him. Yelling over the terrified screams.
"Alona!!! ALONA!!" He kept shouting her name pathetically. His hearing focusing in on the sobbing underneath the deafening roar of screaming. Walking in its direction through the madness. He saw a small white light. It grew larger as he got closer, making him half close his eyes to brace against it. Reaching for it with both hands. clasping something solid as everything came back into focus violently. Color and life fazed back into his vision as he realized he was still sitting under the tree. Alona in his lap, both hands holding her arms. His breathing erratic as he pushed her off of him and scooted away on his hands. Yelling in surprise and shock.
Hyperventilating, his heart beating so fast he felt like it would burst. She looked up at him from the ground, reaching for him. Making him stand up, backing away from her further and shaking his head as he held his throbbing chest.
