What You've Done

Brutus and Lucid stood in front of Sloans warehouse. Both nervous. Shifting on their feet from how anxious they felt. Their hands tingling from a potential hostile encounter.

But the door man had already seen them, and gone inside to ask for an audience with the Polar Bears.

They had come too far to back out now.

So when the door opened and the man nodded them inside. They both didn't hesitate to follow. Going in and seeing the massive room. Sloan sitting on her big chair. And Auris standing just beside it, gaurds on either side of them.

"Well? Why are You Two here?" Sloan sounded impatient and maybe even angry at them. They could guess why. So Lucid got right to the point.

"It's Damien. He took Alona. He said he would hurt her if we tried to find her....We need help." Lucid explained. Sloan quirking her head, her and Auris exchanging a look.

"You want us to help YOU? And save Alona?" She scoffed. Auris shaking his head and snorting.

"Listen kiddos. You're not very bright, and i find you questionable. Alona is our friend. We would help her regardless. But you two? The people who have hurt and abused her? Why would you want to help her?" Her tone was harsh as she questioned them. Auris chiming in.

"If you only want to save her because Damien stole her from you. You're worse then I thought. It only matters when someone else hurts her? Not you?" And The Wolf held up his hands, his mouth opening and closing a few times before he found the words.

"Look Auris. I've really thought about what you said. I've thought about alot of things. I've been... I've been acting crazy. And... I'm.... well I'm sorry. I should have followed your example. I should have remembered everything Buefurd told me." He said firmly. A bit of solid conviction in his eyes. Actually apologizing. But Auris looked displeased, shaking his head again and glowering at him.

"Its too late for that. I'm not the one who needs an apology. And you better apologize to her. Or you'll regret it for the rest of your life Brutus. You too Lucid." His head snapped to the Jaguar, deadly serious, as if he was warning them.

"If you don't do it now. You might never get the chance too." His words seemed odd. But they didn't dare question what he meant. Just nodded. When they saw her again. They would try to say sorry. It was the least they could do.

Not that she would accept an apology. It was a pathetic thing to offer after all this time.

"If you guys can trap both Craz and Damien. We should be able to find her and get her out before they can do anything to her. As long as he doesn't let anyone else watch her. I don't think he would, he doesn't trust his boys as much as Craz. But he can't flunk out just for Damien. He'll be back in school at some point, I'm sure." Lucid layed it all out for them and they looked deep in thought.

They knew Alona probably had something planned, and they didn't want to ruin it. They dreaded the idea of messing up something she'd been doing for months.

"We can stop Damien sure. But you want us to catch a Cheetah? Craz is well known around here. You can't beat someone you can't catch, he gets away with alot of shit." Sloan reasoned and they both nodded.

"If you can slow him down atleast." Brutus pleaded. And this surprised them. Both of these men looked very distraught. And genuinely worried. Maybe they weren't as selfish as they appeared.

"Alright." Sloan said and they both looked a bit relieved. A gaurd walked out of the room and came back with a cage, a cloth draped over the top, a hole for the handle on the top. Handing it to Auris who walked down the steps and motioned his head for them to follow.

"Let's go to the school. We can stake it out." He mumbled. Lumbering past them. When they got back outside, the carriage was out front and Brutus waved awkwardly at one of the Ox men.

"Hey Bueford." He mumbled. And the Ox side eyed him and snorted from his nostrils. The Wolf Looked down, ashamed. Of course Auris had told him what he'd been up to. Bueford was passionate about Herbivore people. Being one himself.

They got in, and surprisingly it was comfortable. But so foreign to them. Having walked everywhere since birth.

"This is the most popular form of transport in Peace Town. Alona has ridden in these her whole life. Traveling between territories, to and from the magic tower." Auris explained. And they seemed intrigued to listen.

"Outside of Peace Town, carriages are rare, because big working animals aren't common among predators. Prey animals are smart. And strong. You have to be strong to endure and keep going." Auris was trying to explain to them why these other animals weren't to be overlooked.

"You can break their leg. You can rip off a limb. And still, they would fight to the bitter end to survive. That's how they are evolved. That's how they've continued on for so long. Even small prey animals have a will to fight. Not in the traditional sense. But to endure. To keep going despite how hard it is. And if they are pushed into a corner. They'd rather jump off a ledge then become someone's dinner." He concluded. And Lucid could recall when Alona was about to jump, clear off the side of the canyon, no hesitation as he chased behind her.

"They are just like us. But their strength lies inward. Rather then out." He looked like he thought of someone in particular and shook his head. Breathing sharply out his nose.

"You two are ignorant. You're being looked down on. And you're being treated as if you're stupid." he muttered and they thought he was talking about Damien. As that would be the only person that made sense. But Auris knew they would understand later. Probably too late.

They reached the school and got out. Starting to go to Brutus's garage to sort out a plan. But someone ran around the schools wall. Huffing and puffing.

It was Pat.

"What happened?!" She yelled out, looking alarmed, having seen the dorm door wide open.

"Alona was kidnapped. Don't try to help. You'll just get in the way. You aren't her friend anyway right?" Pat flinched at the harshness of his tone. Her hands wringing together anxiously.

"Michelle was the one who cutt her off. I didn't have a choice!" She was pleading. And Lucid rolled his eyes.

"Yeah. And you didn't say anything to me? Just went along behind her like a trained slave." Pat sputtered and her head snapped to the side. Michelle coming out from behind the wall with a cold look on her face.

"So we're just going to blame me? Not the idiots who ruined my Bunny and made her into a sick joke. But Me. Who kept her safe for 9 months until I figured out that You Three were making a fool out of me." She spat. Looking uncharacteristically bold.

"If you three hadn't been raping her behind my back for fun. None of this would have happened." Her voice was livid. And Lucid and Brutus Visibly shifted, uncomfortable with being confronted with the actual word to their actions. Brutus opened his mouth to protest but didn't. Because she was right.

Someone had finally said it. And it only made their chest tight and that sinking feeling drowned them. Pulling them deeper into despair.

Lucid turned around and stalked off. Brutus following. And Auris looked at the two ladies and shrugged. Following behind them. Him being the only one who truly knew. That Alona hadn't been raped at all. She had instigated and used everyone's own pride against them. Getting off on it like a sick pervert.

He shook his head and smiled slightly. Just behind the two Play Predators. And he had to cover his mouth. Thinking about how Alona had refered to them like toys. He was starting to understand why this was fun to her. They all were so naive.

"We'll get her back. And it will be fine." Brutus mumbled. But Lucid shook his head. No, it was not fine. It would never be fine.

They made it to the Garage and discussed their plan. Auris noting that both of them looked dejected.
He wondered how they could be so ignorant and blind.
