"I need to make lots of money. Fast." Sloan was caught off guard. She had brought the Bunny to the living quarters of the warehouse. Away from the prying eyes of her guards.
It was a wide room with a second story metal walkway, lined with bookshelves. Two metal spiral staircases going up to it sat on either side of the Double doored entrance. A hallway in the back leading to 4 different rooms sat in the dark. They sat at a round table, a thick blue patterned cloth draped over it. Two curved dark blue couches sat around it. Sloan on one. Alona on the other.
"Well...we do a number of things here. But I don't think anyone would buy drugs from a Witch?" She joked and laughed a bit. Alona chuckling along at the idea.
"How much could I get from a fight ring?" She questioned. And the Polar Bears eyebrows rose slightly.
"Uh, I know you're the Witch... but I'm not sure you should..." The door swung open and Auris walked in. Apologetic about his entrance.
"Sorry to interrupt. But Gilgun is here." He looked menacing as he said the name. Sloan sighing as soon as she heard it. Looking incredibly stressed in an exhausted way. She pinched the bridge of her nose and got up.
"I'll be right ba..."
"Can i come?" Alona interrupted. Curiosity almost dripping off of her. And Sloan seemed to think for a moment.
"If you stand behind the chair and don't make a sound. Sure." The Woman was definitely reluctant, but Alona had a feeling Sloan couldn't say No to her. And it gave her stomach butterflies.
They made their way through the building and up 5 flights of stairs, to a more business looking office space, Another big throne like chair but a huge desk accompanied it, bookshelves loomed high on every inch of the walls.
Alona quietly took her place. Her back placed against the big chair. She dropped her ears down and smiled. She could feel Sloans energy just behind her. It was only a minute or so later that the personal guards came in to stand at either side.
Seconds later she could hear footsteps. Coming into the room and taking a seat opposite. About ten sets of footsteps lining up behind them.
The Man set something down on the table with a thud and after a moment, Sloan clicked something and also put it on the desk right after.
"This is the next batch. Same deal." She said sternly. And the Man snorted, his chair creaking as he leaned back.
"You know what? I thought about this real hard. You can't do shit without my men. You'd get eaten alive out here." He sneered at her, leaning forward on his knees, acting cocky.
Alona could feel the room grow tense and Sloan grumbled out.
"Certainly. You have lots of bodies. A small army maybe. But you wouldn't benefit from burning this bridge either?" The Boss Lady questioned the stranger. And he shook his head.
"Numbers kill Sloan." All 10 people he'd brought with him stepped forward.
"So, thanks for your generosity today. I'll be taking both your drugs. And my money." He said it simply. Clasping his dry hands with a clap. Clearly smiling.
He was right. He had more people waiting outside no doubt, his men were the bulk of her force, without them, the other underground groups would start swarming like vultures. Sloan could do nothing as both cases were taken off the table. The group laughing as they walked away. Taking advantage of what was supposed to be a mutually beneficial situation.
After a long moment of silence. Alona wondered over to the window. Looking down to the pavement outside. Then walking to the other side of the room.
"Sloan do you trust me?" Alona asked her. Picking up a book off a shelf and flipping through it some. The Polar Bear looked angry, breaking away from her deep thought to answer the Rabbit.
