~I've Been Waiting For You To Come Home~

I push open Els door early the next morning with my duffel bag around my shoulder.
"I'm going now" I say.
She comes over to me and hugs me "have fun"
"I will" I rub her back.
She goes back to her desk and I go to leave when she calls my name.
"Yeah" I turn around.
"Mike doesn't say I love you when I say it to him all the time does this mean he doesn't want to be with me anymore?" She asks.
I sigh drop my bag and walk over to her.
I crouch down to be level with her and take her hand. "El just because Mike doesn't say it doesn't mean he doesn't feel it. I loved Steve but I could never say it. It's harder for some people and you should be grateful because anyone can say the words I love you it's whether they mean it or not that matters. You would rather have him not say it then him not mean it ok so just give him some time he'll come around"
She gives me a weak smile "thank you"
I leave the room making sure the door is open 3 inches.

I get on my plane my Walkman at my hip and find my seat by the aisle.
I listen to 'Miss American pie' until I turn it of and try and get some sleep.
When I wake up I get of the plane and my taxi takes me to the road outside the woods.
"Here your sure?" The taxi driver asks.
"Yes thank you" I say getting out of the car and shutting the door.
The taxi drives of and I walk through the woods.
I step over the trip wire and over to the cabin.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath in before opening the door.
The lights were on and Hopper was sitting in his chair a can of beer next to him on the coaster and his favourite tv show on.
He jumps out of his seat when he hears the door open and grins big when he sees me.
I drop my bag on the floor in shock.
"I've been waiting for you to come home" he says pulling me into a hug.
I smile up at him. I knew he was alive. I knew it.
There were voices behind us.
"Stay here" he grabs his shotgun that was propped up against the wall and walks outside towards the noise.
I watch him through the open door and then Russian guards from last year come out of the shadows and push him too the floor. By the time I had run out of the cabin jumped over the wire they were dragging him through the woods.
I chase after them but they disappear.
"Dad!" I scream.
"Dad" I scream again spinning in circles.
