I really do need a tutor

I really do need a tutor. The odds of Bria being mine feels like one in a million. Nick and I were perfectly fine going to find someone else but once I saw her in the hall something snapped. The second her friend offered her up I knew it was one I didn't want to pass.

I had the first text sitting on my phone for five minutes before I finally decided to click send.  I refuse to think too hard about her. I need this year to be basketball and friends and I don't have time to get distracted by a girl. Plus I'm sure she's too busy to be distracted by me.

Tuesday goes short. I think the longest part of my day was practice.

It feels repetitive everyday this season, we have two freshman practicing with us but neither are good enough to play. I understand it's fall and it's not technically our season yet but this year is my last and I plan on making it count. After the two hours are up Coach calls us in for a huddle as he runs his hand down his beard, giving it a small scratch at the end. "Good job today boys. You have tomorrow off so don't waste it. Thursday morning weightlifting at 6 am sharp. Nathaniel, stay."

He walks off to the bleachers as we huddle and cheer to call it a day. I jog over to him after and take a seat a couple feet away. "You get your grade up kid?" He asks.

"Not yet sir," I sigh. "I have my first session with someone after practice."

"Atta boy, head on over there I'll see you Thursday." He pats my shoulder and starts heading out. I quickly collect all my stuff and get to my truck before I head home and shower and then over to Brias.

I pull into her neighborhood and park on the curb next to her driveway. I put my truck into park and get my phone out of my pocket to check the time. 7:48. A little early is fine.

I sling my backpack over my shoulder and walk to the front door. It's a huge two story house with two tall pillars in the front and a huge matte black door when you walk up to it. I knock three time before taking a set back and thinking I probably should have just texted her instead. I'm greeted with a not so happy Bailey to open the door. I don't understand how her and Logan work.

She squints her face, "What are you doing here."

"Bria is tutoring me." I answer her.

"She is?"

"No I'm here to see you babe."

"Fuck off, I'll go get her."  She opens the door a bit more and walks away.

I enter and close the door behind me while she walks up the stairs. The house is different with no one in it. The living room tv is playing The Vampire Diaries and I see a plate of pasta sitting on the coffee table. Everything in this home screams expensive, from the huge windows and the floor to ceiling fireplace to the white marble kitchen.
