I knew this wasn't a storage closet

I knew this wasn't a storage closet.  I knew it was Brias room, I wondered in here last party Bailey had because I needed to get away from Nick. She wasn't here last time so I was hoping it'd be the same.

It was not.

The second she sat up in her bed I knew I was screwed. I was hoping for a peace and quiet room so I could breathe. I love parties, especially Baileys because her house and huge and her parents are never home.  But when Bria freaked out on the idea that someone entered her room made me want to stay longer.

Never in my life have a met a girl who skips out on a party, or hides in her room while her sister throws one, but there's always firsts.

Brias pretty I won't lie. I watched the fall play last year with my mom and little sister Emery and she was great, and I do happen to know she's starring in the little mermaid musical with jackass Grant Moore.

So I don't leave, my best friend Nick is hammered and trying to get with the same girl he's been on and off with for the past year but news flash, no sober girl wants to get with a drunk guy. I stand by her door most of the conversation but slowly take steps closer.  The more comfortable she gets the more she starts to smile and laugh. I've never had a real conversation with her, and now thinking about it I don't think we've spoken before at all.

Brias wearing a oversized hoodie, her hairs a little messy but looks like she's been laying in bed, and she's got hardly any makeup on if she even does.

"So your telling me your team Jacob?" Her eyes widen.

"Yeah I am." I cross my arms. I'm not ashamed about it either, just more embarrassed how easily I can discuss the topic. Once I looked at the annotations in the book I knew I'd have to ask her about it. I've never read the books but saw all the movies with my mom my sophomore year.

"Aren't you embarrassed?" She laughs. "I've never actually met someone who's team Jacob, I can't believe you'd openly admit it."

"I'm not discussing this with you any more." I roll my eyes at her.

"Why have you even seen these movies?"

"My moms single and is a sucker for romance." I tell the truth. Her smile fades when I announce the single parents. Nothing too deep. Dad left after Emery was born and decided the dad lifestyle wasn't for him. Pretty sure he's remarried in Florida now but I haven't felt the need to reach out to him.

"I've been meaning to ask you," She fidgets with the gold necklace around her neck with a B on it, "serious question, are you drunk right now or have you not been drinking because I can't really tell."

I laugh a little, "I'm DD tonight, besides I don't really drink because I hate the hangovers. I normally smoke but i have to get drug tested next week for basketball and it traces two weeks back."

"Smoke as in weed?" She widens her eyes.

"Yeah."

"Oh."
