Never in theater star Bria Walkers life did she think her senior year she'd become friends with one of her twin sister, Bailey Walkers, friends. Especially basketball star Nathaniel Evans, but when he wonders into her room during a party something...

I think doing theater might be the worst decision I ever made.
Next week is tech week, which means this week is getting ready for tech week. So everyday I've been at the school till six and going home. Luckily Nate has practice everyday so Tuesday's and Thursday's he just drives me home and we study till he leaves at nine.
Karen decided we'd have rehearsal tonight too and then do a bonding dinner after. So I'm stuck eating pizza on the stage floor on a Friday night. Avery and Austyn come and join me and Lily, with James, who runs the lights, right behind them.
Eventually we all sit in a decent sized circle, followed by Grant sitting next to me. I look over to Avery on the other side of me to see her making eyes between me and Grant. I see her get that look on her face she often gets which tells me she's about to say something I probably won't like.
"Bria am I taking you home tonight or is Nathan picking you up again?" She loudly asks.
I feel my eyes roll into my head as I turn to look at the others too see if they heard. Thankfully everyone was in a conversation. Awkwardly, Grant is now staring at me with a confused face.
"Nathan?" He practically snorts. "Who's Nathan?"
"Just a friend." I reply. Technically it's not a lie. I'd say we're pretty decent friends. In the end he pays me to hangout with him, not the other way around.
"Yeah just her super good guy best friend. So is he picking you up or do you want me to take you?" Avery butts in. Heck
"I think he's busy tonight it would be great if you could take me." I reply with an empty tone. I'm not sure if Grant believes it or us just confused because he eyes both of us before turning his attention to his phone.
After dinner we headed to the parking lot as a group, I check my phone to see a text from my mom and a missed call from "Gorgeous Man I Tutor", a name he put for himself after he found out his contact was Nathaniel. I shoot a "everything okay?" text to him and put my phone back in my pocket. Then we say our goodbyes and split ways into our own cars and begin to drive off.
"So are we going to discuss Grant staring at you all night?" Avery asks as she pulls out of the parking lot. Oddly enough I did notice myself making lots of eye contact with Grant tonight but I just tried to shove it off as nothing because I can't get my hopes up.
"Do you think I had something in my teeth?" I reply as I grab my phone out of my pocket after feeling it buzz.
Gorgeous Man I Tutor: I'm bored.
Gorgeous Man I Tutor: Wanna get ice cream?
Bria: It's late.
Gorgeous Man I Tutor: It's 8:30.
Bria: Fine. Pick me up at 9.
"Who are you texting?" Avery leans over to look at my phone.
"Just Nathan." I reply as I turn it off and put it on my lap.
