The Outworld Tournament: Chapter 4

Chapter 4

I'm finally over the electrocution and can move freely. On my way towards the coliseum. At least I was kindly escorted by some guards to the correct path. Once inside they show me towards where the fights are being held. I'm not even given a seat. Instead they take me directly to where they're fighting. Right where the Emperor himself can see it all go down. Though when I get there I'm entirely confused by what the hell is going on. If I'm seeing this correctly, then that means that Scorpion is fighting Sub-Zero. Though I saw him die. His skull was shown to us by Scorpion himself. Though now here he is standing directly above Scorpion who just lost their fight actually.

None of this is making any sense. Am I still passed out? I don't think I am. I doubt I'd be able to imagine all of this on my own. As Scorpion lays on the ground, Sub Zero begins to channel his powers, in an effort to kill scorpion. Just as he is about to unleash his attack, he is surrounded by five cyborgs, similar to those that attacked Hikari and me. Without a moment's hesitation, he's being detained by some sort of energy. Most likely, something more powerful than what I had endured. As he was being detained two other cyborgs materialized in front of the Emperor himself. Shang Tsung spoke up,

"Who now interrupts the emperor's tournament?" Shang Tsung announces as he seems annoyed of whatever is going on. Just as he speaks with the cyborgs, Johnny and Raiden come running in with another companion who seems to belong to the Lin Kuei. Nothing is making much sense, but it seems that Sub Zero must be this guys friend. Seeing as how they are all connected to the Lin Kuei, and how I look exactly like one of them, I can get captured and hopefully find Hikari, and save this other Sub Zero. It's a longshot, but I've got nothing to lose really. I take out two kunai, and ready a bolt in the crossbow. I throw the kunai and began to run towards them, as I then shot my crossbow, then closed it, put it back, and wielded my sword. The kunai struck two down, while the bolt went through the cyborg, leaving a hole, as it continued to fly and hit the wall further away. The remaining two, stopped detaining Sub Zero, as he fell straight to the ground and readied themselves for me. I plunged my sword right into one of them, quickly removed it and dodged the incoming attack with a quick spin and slashed at its neck. I turned to face the other two cyborgs, but there was only one. A yellow one, that remained in front of the Emperor. Then, I was kneed from behind, by the other one. I would assume it teleported behind me. I attempted to swing my sword right at it, but the yellow one reacted faster, and its chest opened quickly shooting a net made of energy straight at me, completely wrapping me up,and rendering me entirely useless. They then return to the Emperor and ignore the both of us.

"We request that we may return them to our temple for judgement." Says the red one.

"And what do I gain from this bold request?" Shao Kahn says, rather interested.

"The Lin Kuei's loyalty and service." Says the yellow one.

"Very well. They are yours." Shao Kahn says as the cyborgs walk over to us. Sub Zero seems to have taken less pain than I did as he's moving about.

"You fool. You've only doomed yourself." Sub Zero says as the red cyborg stands by him.

"I might have, but this is all part of my plan. Hopefully the rest plays out well."I tell him, as I look over to Raiden and the rest. Sub Zero looks over as well, and sees his companion.

"Smoke..." He says as we are both teleported out of the coliseum.
