July 7th"Didi, I'm bout to go for the night," Siloe announced walking into my office.
"Okay, text me when you get home," I say getting up and giving her a hug.
"You staying late again?" She asks causing me to nod my head.
"Yeah," I say.
She sighs, "This is the third day you staying late, you're letting what happened between you and Ja get to you. You either need to talk to him or forget about him," She advises.
"He said to talk to him when I'm ready, so that's what Ima do," I shrug.
She hums, "Okay miss girl, don't stay too late," She points at me.
"I won't sis," I say and she waved before walking out. So just to catch y'all up, I haven't talked to Ja for about two weeks now. I know it's up to me to really have is talking again but my damn pride is in the way. And for the duration of the two weeks, I've been burying myself in work attempting to distract myself.

Location- Parents' House
Time- 8:14 pm"What you did today?" I ask Amina as I pass a freshly washed dish for her to dry.
"I went to the pool with Ari and the gang, and then we went to eat." She says placing the dish on the counter.
"Have you started your personal statement or college list?" I ask. She was going into her senior year and just before summer started Isaac and I advised her to start on these things.
"Yeahhh," She drags making me look at her.
"Girl be serious," I say passing her a pot.
"Fine, I haven't, I'm not like you and Izzy, I don't have everything figured out. You guys had scholarships on top of scholarships," She sighs.
"Trust me we didn't have everything figured and you know damn well you're at least gonna get an athletic scholarship," I say giving her the last dish. I turn off the water before taking a towel and wiping my hands.
"You right," She says putting the dishes where they belong.
"I know I'm right, I'm the reason why you so good at volleyball," I say matter of factly.
She laughs, "Girl, you were a hitter I'm a setter," She says.
"I'm the one that got you into volleyball soo," I shrug.
"Yeah yeah," She says walking away. I walk into the living room to where my dad was.
"Whatchu watching?" I asked sitting next to him, resting my head on his shoulder.
"The Last Dance," He says.
"This is that Michael Jordan documentary shit right?" I ask and he nods his head. I don't even know what episode this was but I had no problem watching it.
"Dad MJ was kinda fine back then," I speak up after watching a couple of minutes of it.
He looks at me before laughing, "I don't wanna hear that shit," He says making me shrug.

An Hour Later"Dijah you still here, I thought you would've left by now," My mom speaks walking into the living room with her pajamas and bonnet on.
"I think Ima spend the night," I say looking over at her.
"Little girl, go home and get some sleep. You have work in the morning," She walks over to me pulling me off of the couch.
"I'm tryna spend time with my father and you're kicking me out the house?" I ask.
