"You want any snacks before we go in the gym lil bit?" I ask Kaari as we stop in front of the concession stand. Amina wanted Siloe and I to come so we could watch her volleyball game which is why we're here. I decided to bring Kaari along just so we could spend some time together.
She tiptoes in front of the table to see the many options, "Um, sour patch watermelon," She points at it.
"That's it?" I ask to be sure and she nods.
"You want anything?" I ask Siloe whose attention was on her phone.
"Uh, Twizzlers," She says making me make a disgusted face. I don't know how anyone could eat those, they're nasty as hell.
"Of course, your ass wants that," I say before taking three dollars out.
"Can I get Twizzlers and two sour patch watermelons?" I ask and the teenage girl at the stand hands me the candies.
"Thank you," I say as I give her three dollars. We make our way inside the gym and find seats on the bleachers.
"You want your candy now?" I ask Kaari and she stands between my legs.
"Mhm," She nods her head while holding her hands out. I open the bag of sour patches and hand it to her.
"Hey Didi, hey Siloe," Amina jogs up to us.
"Hey," We both say as she bends down to Kaari's level.
"Hey lil bit," Amina greets her.
"Hi Mimi," Kaari smiles calling Amina by the nickname she gave her.
"So coach said that if we win the first set, I can be an outside hitter for the second set," She says excitedly.
"You better be on your shit then," I say and she waives me off.
"I'm always on my shit you know this," She says cockily.
"Alright girl, let's see how it plays out," I say before her coach calls her over.
"I forgot to ask, how was your little lunch wit King?" Siloe looks over at me.
"I didn't go out to lunch with King I went with Kaiden and King just had to be there," I correct her and she hums.
"Okay, well what happens if Ja finds out you went out with Kaiden and King was there?" She asks.
"I don't know, I didn't plan on telling him about it," I shrug and she shows me her phone.
"I think you should plan on it," She says and I look down at her phone.

"Fuck me," I say once I finish reading the tweet.
"Didi no cursing," Kaari scolds me.
"Oops, sorry munchkin," I apologize.
"Yeah, Ja bout to be on yo ass for not returning his calls and for this bull shit," Siloe says.
"I just don't understand why this bi-girl is always in your business," She continues.
"Maybe she's in love with me," I say making the both of us start laughing.
"Deadass she gotta be," Siloe co-signs.
"Ion like how she can say this shit online but never wanna say this to my face," I say.
"You be letting her slide wit her slick ass comments that's why. She gone keep taking it to the extreme because you're not doing anything to stop her," Siloe explains.
