Chapter 7

The guests are mostly all arrived and the apartment is packed with people that we know. I just hope that no one will call the cops about the music, but it's the New Year's after all, we have every right to celebrate. I turned off most of the lights making the place mostly dark and I lit up the candles for a more mysterious feeling. We bought alcohol, snacks and decorations. Everyone came dressed up, especially girls with their sparkly dresses and heels. I, of course, wore my new silver dress with silver heels and silver jewelry. Chris looks very handsome too in his white t-shirt and this time grey pants with a silver chain. I didn't even know that he had them, my jaw literally dropped when I saw him in those. It looks like he popped up from a fashion magazine and I can't stop looking at my handsome boy.

"You look beautiful Kat." Hayley says to me as I watch Chris's hand run through his straight up black hair and he smiles at something that Owen tells him.

"Thank you." I say to her, finally taking my eyes from him. "You look gorgeous." She's wearing a dark purple dress that looks very sexy on her.

"I didn't know that your boyfriend lived in a place like this." She says with a smirk. Hayley always shipped my relationship with Christopher and I like her even more for that.

"Yeah..." I mumble. "Are you okay with your sister being here?" I ask her. We invited Zoey as well as the rest of the group. I kind of forgot that she was in it honestly.

"Of course it is. I just don't go to those stupid frat parties." She tells me.

"You're right. They are stupid. I've never seen a more boring party, honestly."

"Probably because your friends don't go there. This party is only alive because of them." She tells me and points to Carter and Nate doing loud shots with a group of people.

"Well, we are party animals." I say to her and she lets out a laugh.

"Yeah, yeah, you are." She smiles.

The song changes to a one with a faster beat and I take Hayley's hand to encourage her to dance with me. Diana also joins us and we laugh at the way that we jump up and down and actually have fun. It was the best decision to throw a party like this. Everyone seems to be in a good mood and I like that all of our friends are here.

As another song changes Chris comes behind me and wraps his arms around me in a loving way, "You're so beautiful when you smile." He whispers to my ear and I look at him.

"And you're cute when you're happy." I tell him and he kisses my cheek.

"I want a drink." Diana says as Ethan puts his arm around her.

"You can get yourself a drink." I tell her pointing to the kitchen counter filled with liquor bottles and cups.

"You're supposed to be doing that." She teases and I gladly show her a middle finger, which makes everyone laugh.

"Get me one would you?" Nate yells over the music to her and she rolls her eyes as she takes a bottle to fill her cup. "Nice party guys." He says looking at me and Chris.

"Thanks." Christopher says, I detect a weird edge in his voice, that no one else can catch it I'm sure.

"I thought you'd be drunk and miserable by now." I tell Carter who joins us.

"Nope. I have bigger plans." He says and steps aside to point to Zoey.

"Mm..." I don't know what to say to that because Zoey's sister, Hayley is literally standing right next to us.

"Good luck with that." She says sarcastically.

"Come on, let's have fun!" Nate says and walks away to talk to a blonde girl. Carter follows him, but sits down on the couch next to Zoey.
