Katherine

When we flew to visit my parents they were shocked by the news. My mom literally cried for an hour, but they were both happy for me. My dad told me that on Christmas he had a conversation with Chris and that he knew from that moment that he is the guy that will make me happy. Amy made me promise her that she'll be the bridesmaid at our wedding. I really don't want her to be the bridesmaid, but I couldn't say no and the wedding is not going to be soon, so maybe she'll mature by then. My little brother on the other hand told me that he likes Christopher very much and sees him as his brother. Which was so nice of him to say and I know that Chris loves him too.

As I grab my bag from the dresser, I turn around to look at Diana, who's sitting on her bed in our small dorm room. She hasn't left the room in days and she doesn't seem very happy.

"D, are you okay?" I ask the dumbest question possible.

She looks up from her phone, "Yes, I'm great." She says with fake enthusiasm.

"You know, it's okay if you're not." I tell her.

"Really. I'm okay." She says.

"Just call me if you need anything." I say and she nods.

I walk out of the room with a heavy stone in my chest. Chris and I have to meet Owen and Hayley for a movie night, and he came to pick me up. But I don't like how unhappy Diana is these past months.

"Hi baby." Chris says as I climb inside the car. He kisses my cheek and gives me a warm smile.

"Hi." I say, probably too sadly because he takes my chin and makes me look at him.

"What happened?" He asks with concern.

"Diana is not good."

"What do you mean?"

"She's acting weird." I say and he frowns. "Something is happening in her life and I'm very worried about her."

"Something is going on with Ethan too." He says, turning away from me.

"What? Like what?" I ask him as he stares out the windshield.

"I don't think that you're going to like what I'm about to say." He says and gulps.

"Chris... tell me." I demand.

He turns to look at me, "Obviously he's my mate and I probably shouldn't tell you this, but I don't like keeping secrets from you..."

"I'm glad that you don't. Now tell me."

"He mentioned something about a girl that he hooked up with, which I didn't understand because I thought he was with Diana." He frowns.

"He what?" I exclaim. "When was this?"

"When we went to the pub with the guys, last month." He says and I look out the window. "We were drinking and probably he just blurted out, because he knows that both me and Owen are in a relationship and won't praise his cheating... James wouldn't care anyway. He probably tells him everything." He goes on.

"Son of a bitch..."

"Kat..." He dares to say and I turn back to him.

"Don't you fucking dare defend him." I point a finger at him.

"I'm not." He says. "He's my friend but I'm not okay with what he did." He tries to calm me down.

"He is my friend too, if you remember. But I know how it feels like to be cheated on better than anyone." I say and his face falls. "It's true. Even if you don't love the person, it feels like someone stabs a knife into your chest. It's a pure betrayal and I can't even imagine how it feels like when someone that you're in love with does that..."
