TW- mentions of abortion and sexual assault.

It's been a couple of weeks. And within those weeks, you drowned yourself in pregnancy tests just to be sure, because how your life was going right now, you still rather not believe it.

"Okay thank you, I'll be right in." You ended a call. "Who was that?" Billie appeared in the kitchen where she saw you sitting at the table. "The doctor." You put your phone down and take a sip of your water. "Is everything okay?" The blondes voice laced with concern. "I'm fine, it's just an annual check up." You run your hands over your face resting them on your cheek.

"Oh, well do you want me to take you? I can go if you want?" Billie starts to grab her purse. Her sudden attentive care is strange to you. "Hey, slow down it's okay. Probably won't take more than thirty minutes." You rest your hands on her biceps holding her together. She takes a breath. "You would tell me if something was wrong, right?" Your wife's face softens "of course." You nod kissing her cheek.

You sat in the waiting of the hospital, leg bouncing and your hands wouldn't stop fidgeting with each other. You look at all the other women in the room. Some far along others not so much, one of the women looked like she was having twins. The girl next to you,  who looked to be a little younger, seemed just as scared. She probably just found out too.

You heard a small cry come from your side. It wasn't loud by any means, but you could tell they failed to suppress it. You look to the girl beside you a single tear streams down her rosy cheeks. "I'm sorry" she whispers. "Hey, its alright." Your voiced softened rubbing her back gently. She may have been a stranger but she you were all in the same boat and you felt a pull to her.

The other women didn't bat an eye to the situation, they just kept on reading their magazines waiting for a nurse to call their name. "Come here." You got up helping her to the bathroom where she could calm down. "Do you need anything?" You asked handing her a paper towel to dry her tears. "No, I'm okay. Thank you." She dabbed the bottom of her eyes with the towel.

"Did you just find out?" She asked. Nodding your head humming in response. "You too?"  She too nodded her head.  "Not how I hoped it would happen, but you know. Shit happens I guess." She leaned up against the bathroom counter. "What do you mean?" You raised an eyebrow crossing your arms leaning on the wall in front of her. "I was raped by my ex boyfriend." The girls eyes wondered around the room as she teared up again. "I can't get an abortion anywhere so I'm just gonna have it and put it up for adoption I guess."  You opened up your arms allowing her to fall into you if she wanted. She did. The younger woman grabbed onto you like she hadn't been cared for like this in a long time.

She stayed there for a minute or too and you were more than happy to provide a comfort for her during this time. "You are so brave sweetheart. Whatever happens you got this, okay?" Rubbing her back one more time she let go with a small smile on her face. "Thank you."

Before you both go back out to the waiting room you help her fix her makeup from where it smudged. Not too long after you two sat back down a nurse called out her name. "Aurora?" She got up from her seat "You got this." You told her before she disappeared to the back.

Other women's  names were called and you were the last one. "Y/N Y/L/N?" A nurse called for you. Following her to the back she opened up a room with a bed and an ultrasound machine. "Go ahead and lay down. The doctor will be in a minute." The lady smiled. A couple minutes pass and another lady, this time in a white coat and red hair comes in. "Hello Y/N, how are you today?" She asked washing her hands. "Good."  She flips through your chart. "I see this is your first time with us, I'm Dr. Montgomery." She shakes your hand.
(Greys fans know what I did there...)

You lay back down on the bed, the contact paper crinkling as you move. "I'm going to put this gel on your stomach, it's going to be cold."  She puts the greenish blue gel on and a cold chill runs through you. "So, are you here alone?" She asks looking over at the screen. "Yeah, I haven't told my wife yet." The red head nods her head. "Well you better soon, because it seems that you are about 4- 5 weeks along." She points to the screen. There it is, a small dark spot on the screen. That's it? You thought.

Dr. Montgomery wipes the gel off having you sit back up. "What symptoms are you having?" She pulls out a clip board. "Nausea-" "are you getting sick or just a feeling?" She cuts you off. "Both." She nods her head writing it down. "Anything else?" "Fatigue, a little dizziness." You stop there. "Okay." She finishes writing. "Dizziness is caused by your hormones fluctuating and sometimes it can drop or rise your blood pressure. Just remember to take a breather and rest, we don't want you falling or anything like that." The doctor smiles wrapping up your appointment. "If you need anything or have a question don't hesitate, here is my number." She hands you card. "Thank you."

When you left your appointment you stopped at the store to get some things. One of those things being something to surprise Billie with the baby. You stopped in the baby isle. An array of onesies and pacifiers lined the wall in multiple colors. You didn't know what to get, this wasn't your kind of shopping.

You stood there for 20 minutes just looking. No ideas. Just baby written on everything. Things that said "daddy's little girl" Wont be needing those. An elderly woman walks into the isle smiling at you. "Boy or girl?" She asks catching you off guard. "We don't know yet."  She nods her head smiling. "Whatever it is, it's a blessing." She pushes her cart to the end. Definitely something. It's got three moms already. You mumbled under your breath, she can't hear you.

You're eyes finally capture the perfect one. It's an off white onesie with black print "Surprise." written across the front. You put it in the basket. "Good luck." The lady says.

You stroll past the flower section spotting a large bouquet of red roses. Billies favorite. You place them into the basket and check out.

"Billie?" You set the bags on the kitchen counter. Her car wasn't in the driveway. The house was dead silent. You take the roses and put them in a vase in the middle of the counter. While you hid the baby clothes in a box under your bed.

You heard the front door open and heels tapping on the hardwood floor. "Babydoll?" She called out. You rushed down the stairs. "How was your appointment." Billie engulfed you in her arms. "I'm all good." She kissed your lips. Your lips... Billie hadn't kissed those in a while. Maybe it was all in your head. Maybe this baby will bring you two back together.

"I'm gonna start dinner." Billie hummed in response. "I'll take a shower and be down in a minute." Nodding your head you let go of your wife and started to the kitchen.

You were listening to music while cooking. Billies phone kept going off for what seemed to be every minute. Taking the pan off the stove, you check her phone incase it's important. Nothing could prepare a persons heart for what you saw. Billies footsteps come down the stairs. You put her phone facedown on the counter. Her arms snake around your waist. "Hi doll".
