S1~The Upside Down

As y/n got back from wandering around the middle school she grew up in, she heard the group talking
"They're gone."
"What?"
"Nancy, Jonathan and y/n. His car's gone."
"no, I'm still here-" y/n announced but before she could tell the kids where they went, Dustin interrupted her
"They're probably just sucking face somewhere." "Gross."
"No. No way!"
"Did they go with the chief?" Dustin asked
"I don't know." when they finally stopped talking over her, she told them where they had gone
"They said they were gonna hunt a monster or something so I said they can go and I'll stay here and look after you"
"What? A monster?"
"There's a monster?"
"What monster?" the boys took turns asking and out of nowhere, Eleven spoke
"Demogorgon." everyone looked at her with anxious faces.
y/n hoped that they all knew what they were doing and what they were up against.

"Guys, guys! This is crazy. We can't just wait around." Mike stressed
"Mike, in case you forgot, we're still fugitives. The bad men are still looking for us."
"Yeah, and we don't even know where your sister is."
"El can find them."
"no Mike, look at her." y/n gestured
"I still think we should stick to the chief's plan." Dustin added
"Exactly. We stay here, keep El out of sight and keep her safe. That's the most important thing, remember?"
"Besides, she's okay,shes not alone... she's with Jonathan." y n assured Mike
"Yeah, and she's kind of a badass now, so..." Dustin said as he began to walk away, y/n smirked and watched him walk away. She always knew he had a crush on Nancy and she teased him but of course he always denied it
"Well, where are you going? You just said stick to the plan!" Mike shouted after him
"I am. I'm just gonna go get some chocolate pudding. I'm telling you, Lunch Lady Phyllis hoards that shit" y/n and Lucas began to follow him, she hadn't had the chocolate pudding in what felt like forever.
"Are you serious?" Mike called
"El needs to be recharged!"
"He's right!" y/n shouted as she held the door open for Lucas and they all began to walk towards the kitchen in the cafeteria.

"Found it! I knew she was hoarding it. I knew it." Dustin smiled, picking up as many chocolate puddings as he could carry
"Yeah." Lucas chuckled as he picked up some himself
"Always lying, saying she's out. Bald-faced liar." Dustin started as y/n began to unzip a backpack from 'lost and found'
"Mike, I found the chocolate pudding!" Dustin screeched and a faint 'Okay!' was heard as a reply from Mike
"put them in here" y/n smiled as she held her tongue to the outer corner of her top lip and held out the open bag.

"This will charge your battery right up, I'm telling you." Dustin spoke cheerfully to Eleven as he slammed a bunch of chocolate puddings on the table
"Guys! Guys!" Mike shouted as he ran back into the room
"What is it?" he panted and then spoke again
"They found us" their eyes widened and the hair stood up on the back of their necks
"leave the puddings, let's go" y/n quietly spoke in an urgent manner as she dropped the backpack onto the floor and began guiding the kids around the school.
"How did they find us?" Lucas asked
"I don't know, but they knew we were in the gym."
"Lando." y/n rolled her eyes at the mention of Lando again but before she could say anything, the double doors in front of them swing open and a group of armed men came barging in
"Got 'em!" one of the men shouted
"Go, go, go, go, go!" they turnt around and ran, getting blocked again by another group
"Back! Go back!" they ran once again but this time, got blocked from both sides y/n tried to shield the kids as much as she could. Her hands felt warm and it was as if she could feel the moisture in the air. Until they froze. Their faced changed into a pained stare, blood slowly started to trickle down from their eyes and with that, the flopped to the floor. y/n could practically hear her heart thumping out of her chest, they were all panting and looked around to see they had once again escaped something that could have been much worse. However, they didn't stand in awe for too long as Eleven fell to the floor with a thud. They all crouched down to her and they tried to wake her up
"El, are you okay? El! Something's wrong."
"She's just drained." Dustin tried to reason
"No, no, no, she won't wake up. El! El! El!" Mike shouted as he tried to shake her awake,to no avail.
