CHAPTER 10

"Saxlon." I hissed, tapping his head once more while scanning his perfectly neat room, noticing how his room would be oddly empty if he didn't have a dull brown closet or even his single bed.

He groans, turning his head to the other direction.

"Saxlon." I clutch my teeth, my breathing coming uneasy. "Mom called you for breakfast. If you want to eat- you need to wake up now." I look over back to my watch on my wrist , eyes widening as I see the time.

"Saxlon, hurry up. It's almost 5 in the morning! The day is almost over."  I scold, lightly pulling his silky white hair, hoping it would make him to open his eyes.

With his eye's closed, he looked so... innocent and peaceful.

His eyes shut, displaying his thick long brown eyelashes curved down. He looked adorable. His mouth pouts, as he keeps breathing from his nose.

"You know-" I smile brightly, feeling my dimples forming, "yesturday night, you were a mess when you came home. I'm glad you cooled off." I pat him on the shoulders,  feeling him tense. "Why were you acting weird last night?"

Hearing no reply back , I playfully poke his cheeks.

"Are you dead?"

I poke again, this time his left cheek.

"Saxlon," I cooed, slightly pitching his cheek , hard.

"The sunset is almost over. Wake up." I seriously say, all playfulness fading from me.

"Fůck it." He mutters sleeply, his head on the side, laying on his back as he legs and arms spreads wide apart.

"Pardon?" My tone of voice rising, as I flick my messy brown hair from my shoulders, "the sunrise is so amazing. How can you think of missing the beautiful-"

"My sleep is more amazing and more worthy than some dumb shītty sunset." He grumbles on his creamy pillow. I furiously shake my head.

"No."

"Look- I'll be downstairs to eat breakfast with you's in a couple of minutes. Okay?" He slowely opens his eyes, instanly my heart starts beating by his blue eyes twirkling at me, a little half smirk forming on his delicate face.

"Y-yes, o-okay." I awkwardly stand up from his bed , heading out.

I continue heading back to the kitchen, sitting back in our beautiful   with my mom, as we patiently wait for Saxlon so we all can eat together.

"So," mom nudges me, her hazel eyes glittering as they always do in the morning, "you know my boss has a child your age?"

"Really?" I happily smile, suddenly interested in her 'date' with her boss last night.

"Yes really." She quickly nods, "he has a beautiful educated daughter, her name is Alley - or Alice-," she frowns, trying to remember her name, "or maybe it was Amy?"

I roll my eyes. It's expected of my mom. She clearly even forgets her co-worker's names too.

"But don't worry, I'm sure you will see him and his daughter later this week." She hums, mixing her tea with her spoon.

Saxlon finally comes down after few minutes, wearing all grey , his hair combed to the side.

"Ah, goodmorning," mom takes a sip from her tea, admiring how he was all dressed up, "I've made egg and pancakes for you.
Come and sit down." She pats the chair beside her, signaling him to sit there.

"Okay." He mumbles, rubbing his eyes, as a yawn escapes from his mouth.

I guess he isn't a morning person.

I silently pry, closing my eyes and clutching my hands together.

Dear Father God,
Thank you for the beloving  breakfast that Saxlon and I are going to eat. I hope today will bring good fortune to us and others, and I very hope that everyone will enjoy their day today.

"In Jesus name, Amen." I mumble, opening my eyes and putting my knife into action.

My mom clears her throat, "Saxlon, you know-" she takes a deep breath out, "I'm going overseas for my job in 2 weeks."

Oh, of course. I haven't even packed yet since my mind has been so busy with exams.

"And since it's for a couple of weeks that I will be away- you and Valentina will stay with my boss and his daughter." She grins, taking another sip of her tea.

I choke on my glass of milk. "W-what?"

"Oh- didn't I tell you?" Mom turns her head to me, while Saxlon raises his eyebrows towards my direction.

"You told me we are all going to Australia with you." I sadly mutter, puttng my knife and fork on my clean white napkin.

Australia has been my all time favorite place to go. It's the only place where I can just relax and forget about the pressure as a teenager.

The beaches up there, especially in Queensland, is drop dead beautiful.

"Oh." Mom looks at me sadly, "sorry."

"It's fine." I grin. I shake away the negative thoughts out of my head.

I can't be too selfish.

After a couple of minutes went by, mom spoke to us of how we should behaved and how she wants to hear all positive things about us from her brazil boss when she gets back.

"Oh right- speaking of which-" I frown my eyebrows, while Saxlon looked poker face as usual, "your step dad called me last night, Saxlon."

Saxlon had a step dad?

"Oh?" He huskily say, sounding tense.

"Yes. He actually wants to see you this afternoon." Mom stands up, taking her cup, as well as taking mine and saxlon's plate.

"If I see him, I may be tempted to kill him." Saxlon chuckles, staring into my mom's back as my mom walks to the dish washer.

My eyes widen. "What?"

"I'm kidding." He smoothly says, his piercing blue eyes darkening ,"can't wait to see him today. Really can't wait."
