CHAPTER 14

"Excuse me, excuse me?"

A faded distance voice speaks in the distance.

Slowly I open my eyes trying to adjust to the bright light, tilting my head up from the bed as a groan escapes my mouth.

"I'm sorry but may you please move your body from the bed? I need to fold the sheets." A feminine voice speaks from my behind.

I quickly take off my elbow from the bed and slowly get up.

Only I stop half way when I see that the hospital bed was in fact, empty.

"Um-" I face the lady slowly, biting my lips to the point I could taste the blood, "where is the patient?"

The young lady, tilts her head, a frown forming on her very tanned face.

"Didn't you know?"

"K-know what?" I narrowed, both hands on the side of my hips.

The lady awkwardly coughs, staring at the floor. "He..."

"Go on." I snap, my dark brown eyes glaring practically at her.

With another awkward cough, she opens her mouth, this time, her ocean eyes look directly at me.

"He couldn't make it."

What?

"P-pardon?" I stare wide eyes, suddenly feeling dizzy from the heavy lightening that was directed to my face.

This is a joke,right?

Suddenly, the lady bursts out laughing, holding her stomach as she walks forward to the bed.

"I'm kidding. The patient is just having fresh air, outside."

"Oh." I stare at the nurse lady in disbelief.

Outside? He isn't even stabled to be outside after all that blood lost!

"I'll go see then." I smile, taking off quickly, scanning hospital rooms as I quickly pass.

The worse thing about these kind of places were the rooms that you passed.

Each room passing with a patient in it made my heart ache.

I felt like a heartless person for walking pass them so casually.

"How can they just let Saxlon freely walk around." I breath out, twirling my wavy brown hair around as I pick up my pace.

The outside of the hospital was very crowded surprisingly.

"Pardon me." I squeeze through the people, scanning my eyes for Saxlon.

And there he was.

He was sitting on the benches by himself as he stared out to the open, his fingers trailing over his jawline.

My heart beat for some reason quickens.

The sun was brightly reflecting on him, making him look incredibly even more breathing taking.

His blue piercing eyes were glowing, his brown long eyelashes sparkling from this distant. The cuts on his face were standing out, but instead of making him look ill or remotely hurt, he looked more like a hero than anything.

Even the dull hospital blue outfit he is wearing looks like it was made for him to wear and to show to the whole world.

Taking a breath in, I walk towards him slowly, my hazel eyes never leaving his figure.
