(Picture of Saxlon's step dad )
CHAPTER 10
The car ride was awkwardly silent. Not even music in the background.
For the past two hours, we've been in the car, mom has been humming the whole way through, I've been casually staring at the view from my window, and Saxlon, has been doing absolutely nothing with no face expression whatsoever. This whole time, he has looked tense. It was like their was something in his mind that was taking over his whole body. As we keep entering the tunnels, Saxlon's beautiful blue eyes turn 5 shades darker.
"H-has it been awhile since you saw your step dad?" I stare at him, biting my lips, my tone low enough for only Saxlon to hear.
He shruggs his shoulders, staring at my mom's back seat.
"Do you like your step dad?"
Before he could answer, mom stops the car , I view our area. Mansions all around us, with beautiful healthy grass and trees. This place was obviously the very wealthy side of the town. Definitely not for the locals.
One Mansion caught my attention. A dark night colour of a large house in front of us with a black fence around it. It was definitely the odd one out since all the other mansions were either white or grey.
Although the Black mansion looked odd, it was so captivating and looked very intimidating.
Not to mentioned it was more larger with the height and the length.
"Here we are." Mom smiles, turning off the engine. I dumbly just stare at Saxlon.
"Your father lives here?" I question wide eyes, my jaw hanging lose.
"Step father." He corrects rougly, giving me a death glare "and yer."
"Okay." I slowely nod my head, "that's amaz-"
"Which one is his house?" Mom interrupts, opening her door to get out.
"The ugly black." Saxlon mumbles, taking off his seatbelt as I do the same, while frowning.
The mansion in front of us?
Getting off, mom locks the car and we slowely walk to the house, gently opening the thick black gate and walking through the cutted grass.
Even the front door looked intimidating. The door was a dark grey colour, above it a toy white Skelton head hanging loosely, moving side to side.
Saxlon rings the door bell, his eyes locked to the skelton above.
Secounds later, the door slowely slides open, a tall muscular man comes in view, tattoes trailing down his fingers up to his neck, his black hair messily under his black beanie and his dark grey eyes locked into mine, a small smirk playing on his lips, as he looks at me up and down.
I take my eyes off him, feeling insecure of how I was just wearing a plain blue shirt, on it a yellow large smiley face printed in the middle. Not to mention, I was wearing tight jeans, outlining my round bum.
Oh my. This creature was beautiful just like Saxlon.
"May I help you?" He speaks, a hint of British in his voice.
"Ah, yes yes," mom looks unfazed by him, but her voice squeaks a little for some reason, "does Mr Moore live here?"
"That's me." The beautiful man chuckles, his eyes scan over to Saxlon, "long time no seen, Sax."
Mom and I gasp, probably for the same reason even.
Saxlon's step father looked so... young. He looks around in his 20's.
"Please. Do come in." He gestures towards the inside of his house.
"O-oh, t-thank you." Mom stumbles on her words, taking off her purple high heels, her eyes softening from his language.
I smile and take of my pink nike shoes, watching Saxlon as he pushes his father aside with his shoulders and walks inside, wearing his shoes.
Though he has tattoes and has an weird atmosphere around him, he doesn't seem that bad as Saxlon makes it out to be.
"After you." He whispers, wrapping his arm around my waist lightly, walking me in.
"T-thanks." I uncomfortable say with a tight forced smile.
He guides us through his hallway, tons of horror paintings comes in views. Mainly paintings of younger or older girls, naked, frowning in black blood.
"Sit down." His tone of his voice lowers, siting down on his large black couch as we all do the same.
The weird thing was, everything in his house is all....black and dark.
"You have a lovely place, Mr Moore." Mom compliments, her eyes softening even more as she sees a black teddy bear on the couch beside her.
"Please. Call me Devlor." He spreads his leg , leaning back, his tattoo hands trancing his lips. " What are your names?"
"I'm Fiona," mom smiles, her back leans back, "this is my daughter, Valentina."
"Pleasure to meet you's." He purrs suddenly, his eyes locking to Saxlon's. "It's been so long since I saw you, Sax."
Saxlon doesn't reply back, his eyes just darkens as he glares to Devlor, as he clutch his fist rougly by his side.
"I hope he hasn't been trouble to you's." Devlor takes his beanie off, his messy black hair displaying very messily.
I cut in before my mom got a chance to answer. "No, he hasn't." I stare right into his dark grey eyes. He raises his eyebrows, clearly not believing me.
"Really? "
"Yes. He has been no trouble." I reply back, feeling Saxlon watching me.
"But, trouble is his middle name." He smirks, winking to Saxlon's direction. Saxlon just scoffs and stares at the dark skelton carpet below him.
"Nonsense." Mom defends, looking slightly annoyed "he's been a sweetheart so far."
"Oh?" He sly grin works its way up to his lips.
"Yes, oh." Mom snaps, glaring, "I have a meeting in a couple of hours. I think Valentina and I should be going."
"Maybe Valentina wants to stay?" Dexlor smirks at me, eyeing me up and down for some reason, again.
"No. She doesn't." Saxlon finally speaks, his husky voice sounding rough as he death stares his step father, his blue eyes were abnormally the colour of black.
"Alrighty." He puts his arm in the air, looking amused, slowly standing up. "I'll show you the way out."
"We'll pick you up Saxlon, in a couple of hours." mom adjusts her formal skirt.
"Yer." He mumbles softly, for a split second, he looks scared, but it was washed away instanly.
For some unknown reason, I felt like leaving him alone with his step dad in this dark house is probably a big mistake.
I shake my head, trying to get that out of my head.
He'll be fine...
He'll be fine.
