Recap:

"We should go inside now. Your mom might be there."

"Oh definitely." I stand up, suddenly staring at my watch, eyes widening, because the time was now 9:10.

"Come on." He effortlessly walks in front of me with a straight back, his hands loose on the sides.

I walk slowly behind him, a huge smile on my face from my progress with Saxlon today.

We definitely made a connection.

CHAPTER 15

The happiness that I had held completely stopped when we entered the hospital room, witnessing my mother's raged face.
Mom was sitting down on the hospital bed with nothing but only a annoyed look on her face.

I wait for Saxlon to smoothly walk to his bed, but instead, he stayed still next to me, casually glazing around the empty room.

Mom just glares with her hands on her hips, particularly at me. Her eyes narrowing at me by each second.

"I signed you out Saxlon. We can go now." Her voice sounding edgy, almost like she's pushing herself to talk.

Not even waiting for us to respond, mom stands and walks straight to the door, shutting it forcefully after she walked away, making me and Saxlon slightly flinch.

"Guess we should follow her." I awkwardly mumble, slowly walking away, while Saxlon following behind.

"Wonder what crawled and died from her ass." Saxlon mutters, I instanly shot him a glare, making him raise his eyebrows.

"Don't even, please." I glance back at my mom, who was almost at the exit, walking in a fast pace while swaying her hips gracefully, yet quickly.

I hear a low whistle beside me.

"Damn. The things I could do to those hips."

"Saxlon!" I all in horror stop moving, feeling disgusted by the remark.

"It's a joke," he pulls his hands up the air in defence, "Chill."

"Chill?" I repeat, raising my voice, "you just made a very inappropriate statement about my own mother !" I hissed.

How...how could he?

Saxlon opens his mouth to speak,  only to be cut off with my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I gently speak, trying to block out Saxlon from my view.

"Hello, Valentina. This is your mother." Mom's voice sounding almoat scary, her tone low, making me gulp.

" I don't know what the hell you are doing but you have approximately 5 seconds to get out from the hospital and come to the car. If you do not come, I'm leaving without you's. Good bye."  She hanged up.

"U-um...lets go." My blood pressure rising, my tone slow yet filled with panic.

Didn't have to say it twice, Saxlon was two steps ahead, walking in a fast pace.

From the distance,  mom's car was in the corner near the waterfountain. We speedly walk to it.

"Hi mom." I cooe, hoping into our car and puting on the seatbelt.

Got no reply from her.

I sulk a little to myself but quickly shake it off because it must be her day of the month.

Saxlon , sitting beside me, while still wearing the hospital clothing, looked rather tired. I didnt notice this eariler but his beautiful eyes looks so worned out at the moment.

He runs his long tender fingers through his soft white  hair, while blankly staring at my mothers seat.

"Do you want to continue our 'what if' game?" I announce softly.

He shruggs, instanly making my grin wider to him.

"Okay," I clutch my hands together, staring at the road in front of us. "What if, each time you entered a room, a song in your head would mentally pop up." I bite the inside of my cheeks, "but, the song would never fit the mood that you feel."

After a few seconds of complete silence in the car, Saxlon, simply just shruggs.

"Idiot." I huff out, crossing my arms over my chest.

He hums huskily in response.

I ignore the urge to slap his gorgeous face and just stare ahead.

Just as I view my areas, mom's stops the car, near a very familar place.

"Your counciling session has started." Mom states, making no motivation to talk furthermore.

"Alright." Saxlon calmly replys with the same tone, opening the door, "bye."

Not even getting to answer him, Saxlon shuts the door, turning around and heading to the old fashioned building.

Without shoes.

"Mom!" I snap, "he is going with wearing his hospital clothing."

I hear mom yawn. "So?"

"So!" I snap again, feeling my eye twitching, "you can't just... you can't just..."

"I can and I just did."

"W-what?" I sniff my tears away, while mom turns on the car.

"Look," she turns her body around, her gorgeous eyes staring at me, while she puts her hand on mine, "I'm still a little shakened up about -"

"Wait wait." I interrupt, eyes wide. "Shakened about?"

Mom lets out her breath.

"Last night, I was calling Saxlon's father-."

"Step father." I defend.

"Yes," mom rolls her eyes, "so he wasn't answering. So today early in the morning I went to visit him."

I excitedly stare at my mother. "And?"

"And I went to his suburb." mom uneven breaths out, suddenly pausing.  "Remember how he lived in a black house?"

I close my eyes, the flashes of the big beautiful black house in the center of all the white dull houses popping up.

I open my eyes again. "Yes I remember, he lived in a black house. " I warmly smile.

Mom awkwardly looks around the car.

"Mom. You're scaring me."

"Valentina, " mom gives a tight squeeze to my hands. "There was no black house."

"W-what?" I frown, clearly confused

Mom clears her throat. "No one in that suburb knew or even heard of Devlor Moore."

I open my mouth to speak, but I notice mom had more things to add.

"No one knew except this very old lady..." mom pulls my hands all the way to her side,  her breathing coming very uneven.

"What did the lady say about him...?" I loudly gulp.

"The lady said ..."

"Yes?" I press on.

"That Devlor Moore, Saxlon's step father died in 1922."
