Chapter 29 : The real mission

Y/n's POV

So here we go for the mission. It's a pretty simple mission really, we enter a building, we infiltrate to the control room, we hack the system and we recover all the data we find. It's a pretty simple mission.

I then approach him and come to sit on the seat next to his and I can't help but tap my knee.

"You look stressed to me, do you want us to go over the procedure and everything that's going to happen so that we have it straight in our heads and we're tuned?"

"Yes we can do that."

"All right, so it's pretty simple. Once we get to the location we'll be able to go to our hotel room which is right across the street and we can start our observation rounds. We observe the entrances, the exits and we observe all the floors well. All that during one week. However, on Friday night, when we go out-"

"I go in person and that's when the mission begins."

"Exactly, if all goes well, you're in on Friday night and we leave on Sunday."

"Perfect, I think I'm ready."

"Don't stress too much Y/n/n, I know it's scary that it's just the two of us, but we'll get there. We've been practicing a lot. You can do it, then I'll be with you the whole way to guide you. Everything is going to be fine, don't stress." he tells me with a kind smile that makes me want to vomit.

"You're right, sorry." i replied, if only he knew that wasn't why i was stressing but for something else. I can't tell him obviously.

"Don't apologize Y/n, it's totally normal to worry."

"Thanks Alex."

"You're welcome sweetheart."

"I'm going to check our weaponry and all our equipment."

"Okay. I'll let you know when we get there."

So I walked away from him and headed to our stuff to really check that our weaponry and equipment is operational. I then check my swords and costume. No need to put it on now. We still have plenty of time ahead of us. So after checking the equipment, I'm going to rest a little bit, I'm going to do some meditation and a little yoga to relax and be all in for the mission. The mission will still last a little over a week. After a while, Alexis tells me that we are coming. I gather all our stuff. He puts the jet on a private ground where a car awaits us. We take our things and we go towards the big black car. A shield agent is leaning against the car body.

"Hello, you must be agent Peyton, and you agent Ivanov" he says with a strong Greek accent. Oh I didn't tell you but we are in Mykonos. "I'm Agent Moretti." he showed us his badge. "I will be your correspondent here. In particular, I will take you to your hotel and I will be the one to take you to your jet on the way back. The director has instructed me to help you as best I can so here's my number-" he said as he handed us his card "call me if you need anything." He seems pretty nice.

"That's nice, thank you. Right now we're just going to head to our hotel and get some rest. The flight was long and exhausting." replied Alexis without taking the card Moretti was holding out.

"I understand, if you'd like to get into the car," replied the agent, mentioning the car with his hand. I approached him, took the card from his hands, said thank you and got into the car in turn.

The trip to the hotel was done in complete silence. Once arrived, Alexis went to the reception to get our room key and we left in direction of this one. We took all our equipment there, installed it in the room and then the agent Moretti left. Fortunately for us, the room is big and there are two beds and not only one. There is a suite, so we have the living room where we set up all our surveillance equipment and then 3 rooms: 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
