Love again (Norenmin)

Jaemin and Renjun have this overwhelming feeling of being in trouble, kind of like when you are in school and the teacher calls your parents. They sit with their heads down and wait.
"That night you went to that party, I was busy, I was with your mother." He says looking at a confused and surprised Jaemin.
"She was helping me. She was amazing and I love her and I love that I could tell her things that I couldn't even tell my own mom. She helped me a lot." He sighs and rubs the sweat off his palms onto his pants.
"The day you told me, that was the day we had planned to hang out all day and then I said I had a surprise for you two. Do you remember?" They both nod.
"Yeah, we met at my house and I was so excited about the day." Renjun says.
"Then you told me about you two dating." They both nod.
"Remember how I got sick, and had to cancel?" Renjun nods slowly but already feels like he knows where this is going. Jeno's tears start rapidly again and they both want nothing more than to hold him.
"The reason I was busy the night before was because your mom and I were setting up the surprise." Jaemin can feel his heart crushing, now he knows why his mom didn't seem too happy with their announcement.
"I had been telling her for quite sometime that I wanted to date you, both of you. She was so understanding, so much easier to talk to than my own parents." Renjun and Jaemin both feel sick now.
"We had this pretty tent that we set up in your yard, with p-pretty white lights and pillows and blankets. We set up a projector screen, we were going to watch a movie, then I was going to tell you. I was going to ask if you would be my boyfriends." He chuckles.
"We didn't have to do the awkward dating thing because every time I was with you guys I felt like I was on a date. It was perfect." He cries and tries to stop the tremors in his hands as he sits on display, pouring his heart out.
"After I left your house." He says looking at Renjun.
"I went back to Jaemin's and started taking everything down. She saw me and helped me. She cried with me and held me. I had to distance myself because it hurt so much and I'm sorry for that. I'm also so sorry that I did that to her because she didn't deserve it but it was just too hard." Both Renjun and Jaemin are weeping right along with him.
"So while you two felt a little off and not complete, you had each other. I had no one." Renjun tries to speak but he holds up his hand.
"I was fucking sad, I didn't leave my bed for a long time until Jisung knocked some sense into me. After I got a little better him and Chenle decided it was their duty to set me up and try to fill the hole in my heart. I went on a few of their set ups and then I met Jungwoo. We were both going through some shit and we decided right away that we would never feel anything for each other like we did with the ones we wanted but, one night he came to me. He was crying and I was comforting him and we had sex. It became an outlet for us, a way to cope with our broken lives. So while I wasn't in love with him, I do love him and he will always be my friend so if you think that is a problem then we probably shouldn't even try." He looks down, his hands still shaking.
"But I do still love you. I was hurt and I don't blame you for that but I can't just jump in." He wipes at his eyes, hands still trembling uncontrollably. It's silent for a few minutes until Renjun clears his throat.
"I'm sorry." He whispers.
"You had no way of knowing." Jeno says softly.
"If she would have only told me, we could have resolved this sooner." Jeno shakes his head.
"She knew that I was in love with you both, she had no problem with it at all but when you two started dating you were exclusive, so even she thought it would be a bad idea to tell you." Renjun gets on his knees and takes Jeno's trembling hands in his own and kisses each one.
"Can you ever forgive us?" Jeno leans forward and kisses his forehead.
"It's not really a question of forgiveness, because I'm sure you didn't do this with the intention to hurt me. Just give me time to heal." Renjun nods and opens his arms.
"Can I hug you?" He asks with a shy smile.
"Please." He says accepting his arms. Renjun holds on for a long time before pulling away.
"Jaem?" Jeno asks with his arms open.
"I don't know if I deserve it." Jeno frowns.
"The first step to healing is a hug." He says with a smile. Jaemin finally caves and walks up to hug him, they hold on for a long time too.
"I think you made that up but I'm glad I got to hug you." Jaemin says.
"You're right, I did. I'm sorry for how I treated you yesterday. I was just so confused and..." Jaemin covers his mouth with his hand.
"Don't, that was me being jealous when I had no right." Jeno finally stands and starts walking to his room. He comes back out after a few minutes.
"Im gonna shower then if you want to we can talk some more, or watch a movie?" He suggests. They both smile widely.
"Anything is fine, maybe you would like a break from talking?" Jaemin suggests making him smile too.
"Yeah." He walks off and closes his door. Renjun walks up and hugs Jaemin hard.
"I think I will always carry guilt but that doesn't mean I regret a moment with you." Jaemin nods and pulls back to kiss his lips.
"I think it was written in the stars that we would all end up together, we just jumped the gun a little. Now we will just have to make up for lost time with him. Give him all the love he missed in that time." Renjun nods with a big smile.
"Let's go get our Jammie's on and we can cuddle him on the couch." Renjun says excitedly.
When Jeno comes out he grabs some snacks and bottles of soda and brings them to the couch. He sees the other two come out of their room looking soft and comfortable in their pajamas. He chuckles.
"You do know it's the middle of the day right?" They both nod with huge grins and Jaemin pushes Jeno over from the side of the couch and makes him sit in the middle.
"We both want to cuddle you, if it's ok?" Jaemin asks softly. Jeno gets a shy smile and nods.
"Yeah, it's ok." He says as he scoots over to make room. They each cuddle into his sides and he really has to fight to not cry again. He never thought this day would come. He's just so happy he doesn't even know how to be right now.
"Can we have our first date tomorrow? Or is that too soon?" Renjun asks shyly.
"I have a wedding tomorrow and will probably be gone all day." Jaemin says with a pout.
"Tomorrow is Saturday? I kind of invited a friend over for dinner." Jeno eyes them as they give each other looks.
"It's not Jungwoo. I will let you ease into that one." He giggles as they try to hide their relief.
"It's Taeyong, he's Doyoung's ex. He's really depressed  so I thought he could use some friends." Renjun smiles.
"I'll help you cook. It will be fun." He says hugging his side.
"How about I help you cook, we will get a lot more accomplished that way." They all chuckle and continue to watch the movie until Jeno gets an idea.
"I'm free Sunday, maybe we could go on a picnic or a small hike or something?" Renjun gets excited and both Jaemin and Jeno coo at him.
"Yes, we can do both. We can hike up the trail and stop and eat at the lookout. It will be beautiful." He says softly.
So it's agreed that it will be their first official date.

When the evening comes to a close and Jeno decides it's time to go to bed it feels a little awkward again because they are sending him off alone only to go to sleep in each other's arms again. He can see the turmoil on their faces and sighs.
"It's ok guys. Don't worry, I'm going to bed happier tonight than I have been in a long long time." He doesn't know where it comes from but he gets a little brave and leans over to kiss Jaemin on the cheek then he does the same with Renjun.
"Good night." He says getting up. He gets all the way to his door before the other two accost him and both kiss his cheeks at the same time.
"Good night." They say almost in unison."
They will all go to bed this night a little lighter than before.
