Proxima's Mission (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter III - Meet and Learn

Proxima is woken up by General Timofey saying their allies are going to meet you, Proxima gets sudden flashbacks of yesterday before he escaped. Proxima gets off the bed and leaves the room, General Timofey wears the cosmonaut suit along with two other guards, and then all of them enter the pressurized chamber with Proxima. One of the guards presses the button to depressurize the room, the front door opens as the depressurizing stops and the 4 of them get out.

General Timofey opens the door of a vehicle called the Martian Cruiser near the base, "Get in", he said. The guards, Timofey, and Proxima enters the vehicle and General Timofey starts it. The Mars Cruiser starts mobilizing through the snow and enters the red ground of Mars. They passed through many hills, and small dust devils, then they reached Olympus Mons which is the tallest mountain in the Solar System.

A base is near the mountain and General Timofey parked the vehicle next to it, the base is much bigger than the arctic base before. The four of them get out of the Martian Cruiser and go to the door to enter the base. One of the guards opens the door and all of them enter the depressurized chamber, the guard closes the front door and presses the pressurize button, the chamber is pressurized and the door to enter the main base is opened. Then, the four of them enter the main base and are flashed by the illuminating lights. A person with a different outfit than Timofey and the guards came forward to them, "Welcome to the Olympus Mons Base, I see you bring the... thing", says the person in English which Proxima doesn't understand yet, "Yes, sir", said General Timofey in English too. "Introduce yourself in the meeting room, they are waiting for you", continued the man.

They all entered the hallway to many different rooms and entered the meeting room. Lots of people that were talking are immediately silent when the person enters the room. Proxima is nervous to speak in front of many people, "Psst, go introduce yourself", said General Timofey. "Uh hello humans, my name is Proxima Centauri", said Proxima in Russian. The people inside the room are confused and one of them speaks out, "Did you teach him Russian only?". "Yes, I did", said General Timofey in English, "He said, hello humans, my name is Proxima Centauri", continued Timofey. "Okay, continue translating him," said the person. "I obviously came from the star, Proxima Centauri," said Proxima, and General Timofey continued to translate him.

After Proxima introduces himself, General Timofey, the guards, Proxima, and the person gets out of the meeting room. "Teach him English so he can communicate with us better," said the person, "Yes sir, I apologize," said General Timofey, "Now you can leave," said the person. The 4 of them go back to the arctic base in the Martian Cruiser. 

Later that day in the Alpha Centauri B space station, Vatulian Empire soldiers and allies are waiting for Proxima to come. The people there become suspicious of what's taking so long, "This is a waste of our time," said one of the allies. The allies are standing up and beginning to leave and they are let go by the guards. "Wait, where are they going?!" someone said, "We don't want to waste our time waiting for some stupid creation of yours to come," replied one of the allies. They get on their spaceships and left the space station.

Back in the Martian Arctic Base, Proxima can learn English very simply as it is less complex than Russian and Proxima has already learned the Latin alphabet. "It is so easy to teach a robot, they remember better," said General Timofey in his mind, "Oh yeah, I forgot to ask you something," said General Timofey. "What is it?" asked Proxima, "If you don't mind, what is your species?" asked General Timofey, "I don't know, I heard my creators say I'm a protogen or something," replied Proxima. "Protogens, very interesting, also you look like an animal robot," said General Timofey, "Really? What animal am I?" replied Proxima curiously, "Well, you kinda look like an Arctic Wolf with a few futuristic modulations," General Timofey explained. "What's an Arctic Wolf?" asked Proxima. General Timofey began to explain what the animal kingdom on Earth looks like, Proxima is so curious to learn about life on other planets.

Meanwhile, in the Olympus Mons Base, the high-ranking people are doubting what is the Russian Space Forces doing, explaining they could be abusing and using Proxima as a weapon. Then they began theorizing that they created an arctic wolf into a cyber-like creature. The night is coming and Proxima keeps staring at the wall thinking of what is the future about to come. Proxima goes to General Timofey's office and sees Timofey currently eating his food. "Oh hey Proxima, sorry I'm currently eating," said General Timofey, "It's fine, but I have something to tell you," said Proxima nervously, "What is it?" asked General Timofey. "So I'm supposed to meet some people before I went here, I stole a ship and go to the Solar System now I'm scared if they're going to find me," explained Proxima. "Why did you escape?" asked General Timofey, "The country I was in was very strict and colonized many star systems," answered Proxima, "That sounds alarming to our Solar System," said General Timofey, "Yes it is, please protect your star system at all cost," said Proxima.

After having the conversation, Proxima goes to his room and realizes there's a TV. He tried to figure out how to turn on the TV, he finds the power button and it is turned on. Proxima watches the TV showing human activities on Earth, and then he gets interested in learning the human society. He lays on his bed watching the TV and slowly falls asleep.
