Chapter VIII - New Adventure

Proxima woke up refreshed and exited his room. He goes to General Timofey, currently leaning against the wall, "So what do you think?" Proxima asked, "What?" the general asked back, "About taking down the Vatulian government," Proxima said, "Oh right, we are going to have a meeting about it, and you with Toli are coming," General Timofey explained. "When is the meeting?" Proxima asked, "In one hour," he replied, "Okay," Proxima replied. 

One hour later, Proxima, Toli, General Timofey, and other people gathered in a meeting room. "Thank you everybody for coming to the meeting today," General Timofey said, "Today, we're going to be recruiting qualified pilots for interstellar travel so we can help our friends Proxima and Toli here to fight against their enemies," General Timofey continued, "Yes, we need a lot of pilots and soldiers to attack the Vatulians in the Andromeda Galaxy," Proxima said. "Proxima and Toli are going to lead you guys there," General Timofey explained.

A week later, fourteen pilots and one thousand soldiers decided to volunteer to fight against the Vatulians. But, Proxima hesitates to send these people because he sees this is not good enough against millions of soldiers. He recommends General Timofey wait for another few weeks so they are easily defeated, and the general agrees. Three weeks later, fifty-one pilots and ten thousand soldiers from nine different countries are volunteering for the next battle including Timofey. "You're coming too?" Proxima asked with a surprised face, "Yes, I am," General Timofey answered, "Nice!" Proxima said excitingly. Proxima sees the group as worthy enough and hopes to find allies on the journey there. The journey is intended to jump on hundreds of star systems and reach the end of the Milky Way Galaxy, then reach the Andromeda Galaxy. The estimated exploration time is twenty-five years.

[Information I forgot to write in Chapter I; Vatulian Empire colonized the entire Andromeda Galaxy, some parts of the Triangulum Galaxy, and a few star systems of the Milky Way Galaxy.]

Another week of training later, General Timofey and the volunteers say goodbyes to their friends and families. One hour later, Proxima, Toli, General Timofey, and the others are ready to enter their designated spaceships. Everyone entered the spaceships with Timofey sitting on a passenger seat in Proxima's spaceship, and then the other people started loading up supplies such as food, water, and ammo. "Alright everyone, our next stop is Neptune," Proxima said confidentially, and after finished supplying, the pilots began to turn on their spaceships and prepare for take-off. "Good luck everyone!" Toli said excitingly, and then everyone takes off from the ground and currently leaving Mars's atmosphere. After a few minutes, they reached low Mars orbit and set their destination to planet Neptune. "Have you set your destination to planet Neptune?" Proxima asked the pilots, "Yes," the pilots answered, "Press the bright purple button to warp there," Proxima said. Proxima, Toli, and the other pilots begin to charge their warp engine and it warps to Neptune automatically. 

The spaceships reached Neptune's sphere of influence, and the other pilots are fascinated to see Neptune with their own eyes [Fact: Neptune is not visible to the unaided eye from Earth]. Meanwhile, in Proxima's mind, he cannot believe that he's achieving his dream after years of suffering. "Okay, our next destination is Barnard's Star, I heard it's a star without Vatulian activity there," Proxima said, "If you have set it, warp there now," Proxima continued. The pilots begin to warp there with Proxima and Toli. Suddenly in the middle of the warp, the spaceships stop, "Uh why did we stop?" Proxima asked, "Most of these spaceships' warp engines were improperly repaired by the engineers, so we can warp for only three light-years and recharge for another three light-years. "So this is going to take an extremely long time?" Proxima asked, "Probably," Toli replied. After another warp, they reached Barnard's Star, the red dwarf star and the fourth-nearest-known star in the Solar System. On Toli's radar, there's a planet appeared that looks like it is orbiting Barnard's Star. "I detect a planet on the other side of the system, and we can use the normal engine to go there," Toli said. Everyone begins their journey to planet Barnard's Star b slowly to take a break from what's gonna happen. "Have you thought about this day going to happen?" Proxima asked Timofey, "Huh? Oh of course not, because I thought I'll never be one of the first humans to go to another galaxy," General  Timofey answered. "I was hoping that this day will come so I'll have an attempt to take down the Vatulian authoritarian government," Proxima said, "You said that multiple times," General Timofey said, "Oh really? Haha," Proxima replied.

Hours later, planet Barnard's Star b is visible, and everyone continues moving to enter its sphere of influence. The planet looks like a barren planet, quiet with no signs of life. But they decided to land there instead to check if the government offices are underground. Proxima, Toli, Timofey, and all other soldiers exited the spaceships and starts checking around the area. A steel basement door suddenly opens from the inside and it appears a person in a full-body suit going out. The soldiers aimed their weapons at the mysterious person, but four more people come out of that door with weapons hinting they were guards. "Greetings, who are you people?" the person said in the Vatulian language, Proxima and Toli approached the group of soldiers and they are surprised to see them, "We need you both to come with us, don't bring the others," the person said, "Everyone stay here," Proxima said to the others. Both the person and the guards go back inside with Proxima and Toli.
