The Fire Breathing Unicorn and the three goats!

Chapter 14: The Insecurity Inside!

The next day, Hades woke up from his nap and yawned as he saw the early morning sun shine onto his face.

He even noticed that the three goats weren't in the bedroom. The unicorn looked out the window to see that they were eating some grass near the cave.

Hades got out of bed before he felt something underneath his hoof. He looked down and saw a picture of him and the three goats standing together with smiles on their faces. When the unicorn saw the picture, he noticed that the drawing was from Brayden so he smiled in awe and muttered " That's just so thoughtful of you, kid."

Meanwhile, the three goats continued eating grass until they were a bit full so they decided to drink some cool water from the breeze before a butterfly landed on Brayden's nose once again.

When the little goat saw the butterfly, he began to playfully chase after it and laughed. Griffin and Gabriel looked at their little brother a bit worried and Griffin said " Be careful, little bro."

" I will." Brayden responded to his older brother with a smile. The three goats saw Hades come out of the cave before they smiled and said " Good morning, Hades!"

" Good morning, boys." Hades responded back before he started munching on grass. The butterfly that Brayden was chasing landed on Hades' muzzle which he noticed. The unicorn felt like he was about to sneeze but he tried not to as he knew that if it happened, fire would come out of his mouth. Hades couldn't hold it any longer so when he sneezed,  the fire breath came out of his mouth and the three goats ducked their heads while the fire accidentally hit the bush where the squirrels would eat. Hades and the three goats looked at the burnt bush with wide eyes and fear because they knew the squirrels wouldn't happy if they found out that their bush was burnt up.

Hades' heart skipped a beat as he saw Shelly and her family come back to the bush to eat something. The squirrels screamed as they were completely shocked as they saw that their bush was burnt from a fire.

" WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO OUR BUSH?!!" Simon questioningly shouted as to what happened in shock and anger at the same time. Hades looked at the squirrels feeling very guilty and managed to say " I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do it." The squirrels looked at Hades in disbelief after he admitted that he was the one that burnt the bush.

" YOU CLUMSY STEED, HOW CAN..." Simon was about shout but his wife Shelly stopped him and said " Honey, Hades said he was sorry. We'll find a new bush to get some food. As a response, Simon looked at his wife with an irritated face before he sighed, turned to Hades and said " Fine, I forgive you."

Even though the male squirrel said he forgave him, Hades still felt hurt that Simon blew up at him in anger over the accident since it reminded him of his past so he went back inside his cave with tears in his eyes which made the three goats look at the unicorn with sad faces as they felt really bad for the poor guy.

" Hades!" Brayden tried calling out to the unicorn as he was about run after him but Griffin stopped him by putting his hoof on his little brother's left shoulder and said " Brayden, wait. Hades needs sometime to himself."

(Later)
It was the afternoon and Hades was still in his room feeling upset about how he accidentally burnt the bush the squirrels would eat in. He was unaware of Brayden standing at the doorway peeking his head inside the room, feeling like he was about to cry as he felt extremely bad for Hades. The little goat walked away from the door in sadness and went to his bedroom to meet up with his older brothers.

As Brayden made his way to where his brothers were, Griffin and Gabriel noticed him at the door before they gestured him to come in the room.

" I feel bad for Hades." Brayden told his older brothers sadly.

" I do too Brayden." Gabriel said as he agreed with his younger brother.

" Me three but I think he's too immature and insecure." Griffin said rudely before his younger brothers were taken a back to what he just said.

" Griffin, how could you say that?!" Gabriel questioned his brother in disbelief as he couldn't believe what he heard.

" Hey I feel bad for Hades as much as you both do but for the past weeks, the unicorn was always down on himself every time he causes an accident with his fire breath." Griffin told his younger brothers as he looked annoyed.

" Griffin, you and I have been over this yesterday. Hades has been through a whole lot back at his old home." Gabriel told his older brother.

" Look I know he's been through a lot but I just hate having to see him suffer every time he does something by accident." Griffin said as he was annoyed of what he had to deal with when living with Hades.

" I don't like seeing Hades suffer either but we can't confront him about his problems. Besides he's not trying to be immature." Gabriel told his older brother.

" Yeah and Hades knows that we don't mind his fire breathing powers. He means a whole lot to us and he protects us." Brayden chimed in as he agreed with what his brother Gabriel was saying. Griffin went from annoyed to anxious and when his younger brothers noticed, Brayden asked " Griffin, are you okay?"

Meanwhile, Hades got out of his room to see what the three goats were up to then he stood by the entrance of their room as he began to hear them talking.

Hades heard Griffin say " Guys, the truth is when we met Hades, I kind of thought that it was weird for a horse to have fire breathing powers and to be 10 feet taller than us." Hearing that, the unicorn was shocked before he heard Gabriel say " You do have a point, it is pretty weird for a creature like that to be that tall and to have fire breathing powers." After that, Hades became very angry to the point he stomped into the room startling the three goats and yelled " So that's what this is all about!"

The three goat brothers looked up at Hades with wide eyes and Gabriel asked " Hades, how long have you been standing out there?"

They were all unaware of an alien named Alex outside of the cave walking by before he heard Hades yelling at the three goats about something before he smirked and laughed evilly.
