Ever since my first day in college, I've never got the chance to tell Roxy what I really felt about taking the course. Normally, she would just tell me that I was just being lazy everytime I refused to study. She even thought that I just had gone crazy when I dyed my hair, which was maybe one of my reasons why I did it but I really haven't had the chance to tell her the truth about me changing my course. And I just wasn't sure if she would understand me or my reasons because eventually, I had to leave her.

I was nervously tapping my fingers on the steering wheel, waiting for her. I was very anxious at that moment as I looked around the parking lot.

My phone shocked the hell out of me when it suddenly vibrated inside my pocket. I pulled it out and saw Mama Lucia's name on the screen. I gulped as I slid my finger on it to answer.

"Mama.."

"Shiloh! Dios mìo! Where have you been? Your mom was trying to call you but it seemed you turned your phone off. She was very worried about you..."

I could sense the concern and distress on her voice and it made me sad and guilty.

"I'm just here at school.. " I trailed off. "I took the exam."

"She immediately called up your dad to come home right after you ran away. He will be here soon. Please sweetheart, come back home now. All of us are so worried about you." Mama Lucia sniffled which made me feel guilty even more.

"Alright.. alright. I will but not now. I need time for myself. I'll come home. I promise. Don't worry, Mama. I'm safe." I really tried my best to calm her down.

"Okay. But, promise you would not do anything stupid out there again. I'm still mad at you for dying your hair."

A small grin was suddenly formed on my face and I felt a little lighter. I knew she hadn't forgiven me about it yet.

"I promise." I reassured her.

Just as I was about to end the call, Roxy appeared on the side of the car. She opened the door without hesitation and climb inside the passenger's seat.

"Hey, what's up?" She smiled at me as she was making herself comfortable on her seat.

"Hmm. Mama Lucia just called. She told me my mom had gone crazy." I laughed. But, I knew in my heart that it was not a good thing to laugh about.

"Why?" She looked confused.

"I.. I don't know. " I shrugged and I lied. I knew exactly why but I just didn't know how to explain it to her.
"Where do you wanna go? I really really like to go for a coffee right now. What do you think?" I luckily found a way to change the topic.

"Sounds great." She smiled and I had to return it because I was starting to get very anxious.

The whole ride to the Starbucks was kinda awkward for me because I couldn't think of any topic. A lot of things were running inside my mind, school, home, and then how to tell Roxy about my departure.

"Hey, what happened at the office? Are you going to dye your hair brown again?" Roxy interrupted my reverie as she nudged my side with her elbow.

"Ow!" I groaned, soothing my aching side. "No. There's no way they could let me do anything with my pink hair not until they..." I stopped when I realized that I wasn't ready to tell her.

"Until they what?" She cocked her head to the side confusingly, waiting for an answer.

"I'll tell you when we get there."

"Alright."

After a few minutes, I parked at a small spot at the Starbucks not so far from the school. We both unbuckled and climbed off the car together.
