After a few minutes of girl talk and making plans, Roxy and I agreed that when I leave and go to another university, we should still see each other for atleast thrice a week, either at my house or hers and that she'd let me promise to call her whenever I meet new hot boys at my future school. I know it's a funny thing for her to say but I still made it a promise after she scowled at me for laughing at her.

We both decided to go home after three hours at Starbucks because Roxy said we still have to study for the exam for the next five subjects on Monday to Wednesday. She told me that I still have to take those so that there's no need for me to take them when I shifted to another course. I agreed since they're just minor subjects.

It was almost noon when I drove Roxy to her house. As I was driving off the street, I sighed when my stomach was growling and I remembered I haven't eaten anything since this morning and the frappe that I had at Starbucks wasn't enough.

I decided to get home and just ask Mama Lucia to cook for me but then, I remembered that my dad was coming home and realized that my mom was probably waiting for me there. I swore at my breath.

I turned the wheel to the left when I found a nearby fast food restaurant and decided to just have a take out lunch.

After I talked to the order machine and paid for my food, I drove off the street and looked for a nice and less crowded place.

I parked my car at a nearby family park not so far from where I bought my food and decided to just eat my food inside. I got out of the car and transferred to the passenger seat. I silently climb back inside and put up my feet on the dashboard and happily enjoyed my food. "Ah, this feels better." I muttered to myself.

As I was joyfully sipping on my large coke, my phone vibrated inside my pocket. I pulled it out and it was Mama Lucia calling.

My mind was debating whether it would be good to answer it or not.

After a few seconds of thinking, I slid my finger to answer.

"Shiloh?"

"Hello, Mama." I tried to sound calm.

"Are you on your way home now?"

"Uh..." I trailed off.

"Your dad's here. He's looking for you." She sounded scared.

"If he's looking for me then why didn't he call me himself?" I furrowed my eyebrows at the thought.

"I know. But just get here now, Shiloh." She lowered her voice but it still sounded like a command and I know she didn't want what's happening too.

"Okay." Was all I said before I ended the call.

I let out a deep sigh as I continued eating my burger but this time, I wasn't enjoying it anymore.

My phone vibrated once again and it was a message from Mama Lucia.

"Please". That was the only word she sent me and it made me look bad. I felt like I've been a very bad person. I know she's hurting too and that's the last thing I want to do--hurt her.

I quickly finished my burger and coke before I got back to the driver's seat and drove off the street back home.

I feel like my blood was draining down my body that I can barely breathe. I didn't know why I felt so nervous as I pulled infront of our house. I glanced at the black car parked at the garage and I knew dad was inside the house.

I got out of the car and started to the front porch steps. I quickly refreshed my brain, letting myself remember what I should say to them and remind that I have to control my attitude towards them because they're still my parents and I have to respect them.
