With pursed red lips in deep sleep, he appeared beautiful and dreamlike.

As classmates passed by, they instinctively tiptoed, and even the teacher lowered his voice during the lecture, as if afraid of disturbing the slumbering individual.

Everyone noticed a change in the boy. Although he still possessed an air of nobility and glamour when silent, his cutting remarks had become venomous, enough to endanger lives.

He severed ties completely with Carol, Gu Yize, and his old friends, resigning from his position as the Omega leader. In his absence, Ethan took over as the new chief, thanks to the backing of Carol, Gu Yize, and his popularity in the school, making him the center of attention.

This development caused quite a commotion in the school, and some alphas rejoiced. In their eyes, Omegas were meant to be submissive, weak, and pleasing like Ethan. The original owner had been too outstanding, prompting betas and other Omegas to challenge the authority of alphas, causing the latter to lose face.

The original owner's defeat at the hands of Ethan might be attributed to his own strength and lack of understanding of how to leverage the weaker side of being an Omega. He had delusions about alphas, believing that his excellence would earn him the respect and recognition from Carol and his brother. However, Carol and Gu Yize despised his achievements, unable to find any superiority of an alpha within him. Ethan, on the other hand, fulfilled all their fantasies about Omegas.

Gu Yiling was awakened by the sound of hurried footsteps. Rubbing his eyes, he recalled that the midterm exam results were supposed to be released.

Realizing it was already lunchtime, he decided to check his grades before going to find Victor.

From a distance, he saw a crowd gathered around the bulletin board. Gu Yiling's name stood out prominently, indicating his rank as the top Omega— the only Omega in the top ten. The original owner was truly exceptional.

He excelled in the core subjects and mecha theory, securing the top position. However, the practical combat exam, which most Omegas struggled to pass, only earned him a B grade.

Ethan's grades in Omega were not bad, but he ranked only in the lower middle level among all the students. As the "Destiny's Child," Carol always claimed the top spot in the grade. Gu Yize also made it to the top 20.

Victor's rank among the alphas was average, but Gu Yiling suspected that he intentionally concealed his true abilities to avoid drawing attention.

Gu Yiling overheard someone saying, "Gu Yize's rank is lower than his younger brother's, and his younger brother is an Omega. He's truly useless!" Perhaps the original owner was dissatisfied with this state of affairs?

One of Ethan's admirers retorted upon hearing this, "Hey, be careful with your words! How can Gu Yiling compare to Ethan?" Then he glanced at the two Omega students, who were clearly fans of the original owner, and added mockingly, "Omegas should act like Omegas. Learn from Ethan and stop trying to challenge alphas like Gu Yiling does."

Laughter erupted from the surrounding alphas, and even some betas and Omegas joined in. The two Omega students blushed with anger, wanting to argue, but they were quickly pulled away by their beta and Omega friends.

Gu Yiling sneered. That alpha was one of the original owner's suitors. After being rejected, Ethan had the audacity to approach him, using a few ambiguous words of comfort to slander the original owner's reputation in school.

There were many alphas like him in the school. Sensible betas and Omegas, who used to support Gu Yiling as the chief, were too intimidated after his defeat at Ethan's hands and dared not assist him anymore.

In this world, almost every alpha who encountered Ethan would fall under his spell. Ethan toyed with their affections and constantly made Carol "misunderstand" his actions.

Once he exhausted their usefulness, he would tell them he only saw them as friends! Despite sacrificing themselves for Ethan, getting hurt, or being exiled to remote asteroids by Carol, they would still affectionately declare to Ethan, "I have no regrets about loving you!"

Gu Yize suffered a similar fate. After confessing his feelings to Ethan, Ethan pretended to be unaware and said, "I only see you as a brother!" In reality, Ethan never looked down on Gu Yize. Not long after, Carol took Gu Yize to a distant asteroid, ensuring he could never return to the imperial capital.

As for the Gu family's dream of using Ethan to strengthen their ties with the Eugene family, it was completely shattered. Ethan didn't care about the Gu family at all, and soon, they fell into decline.

"Hey, Victor, over here!"

Gu Yiling waved at Victor, then looped his arm through his, completely disregarding the varied expressions of their classmates, and led him to the cafeteria.

Victor's heart stirred as he said, "...you can take it yourself."

Gu Yiling continued to play the fool. "I want you to feed me."

Victor appeared speechless on the surface, but his heart was in turmoil. Was this truly the renowned Chief Gu Yiling, known as the most difficult Omega to pursue in school before Ethan arrived? Why did Victor feel like he was faced with an adorable kitten wagging its tail to please him?
