"lovely to meet you," lila told the robot as she took handfuls of cookies from the tray in her hands.

evie sat on the couch and waited for lila's hand to depart from the tub of popcorn before taking the container in their arms.

her eyes darted between number one and two as diego pointed at his eye towards luther as if to question him upon grace passing by.

"stabbed herself in the eye," luther whispered almost incoherently, imitating an object being jabbed into his own right eye.

"where's little body, big powers?" evie questioned.

"he'll be here," allison responded monotonously.

"and...who are you?" evie motioned towards lila.

"lila. nice to meet you." she held out a hand, evie almost taking it without hesitation before diego had pulled lila away from them. a raven that flew aside fei soon announced her and ben's arrival to the room.

"please, make yourselves at home," fei invited.

"bitch, this is our home," allison rebutted.

"excuse me?" fei walked to take a seat next to evie.

"uh, jelly bean?" luther offered before allison could bite back.

"where the hell is viktor and klaus?" diego chimed.

"well, with our luck, probably kugelblitzed by now," five answered just before matilda appeared.

evie jumped in her seat, a few popcorns falling on the carpet. "mat?"

"don't." matilda glared at her.

"sorry. matilda!"

"you can see her?" diego questioned.

"she's here?" ben added, causing diego to turn to him.

"you know about her?" he then turned to evie who gave him a guilty look.

"ben," matilda called out before five spoke and snapped her out of her daze. "mat, where the hell is klaus?"

she scoffed and rolled her eyes. "i'm too annoyed to talk about it."

"but he's alive?" luther asked.

she hesitated in nodding, but soon did so. "sure. yeah, he is, most of the time."

"what's...happening?" sloane curiously wondered, looking around the room.

"oh, we're talking to a ghost," luther nonchalantly said.

"...oh." sloane decided not to question it.

fei gasped and held a hand out towards diego whose left hand currently lacked half of its pinky and ring finger. "ooh, what happened to your hand?"

"glad to see karma still works the same," evie quipped.

ben clapped his hands together to grab everyone's attention.

"hey, we don't have time for idle chitchat. everyone, sit down," he ordered.

""please," would be nice," diego quipped, lila chuckling.

"no."

everyone who could see matilda froze as she vanished, evie being the one to ask the question in everyone's minds.

"where'd she go?"

"probably went back to klaus, right?" diego presumed.

"sure," five sighed out, going along with the credible reason.
