Part 34

Jungwon plopped back onto his bed after a long, stressful day that he didn't ever want to go through again. He closed his eyes out of tiredness.

All the boys had gotten back to their homes, apart from Heeseung, who the doctors decided to monitor his health since they weren't convinced that Heeseung would eat as regularly as they needed him to.

Soon, Jungwon got slipped away to his safe place, his dream, where he could make anything impossible happen. But what happens if tonight would not be a dream... but a different kind of dream maybe a sign?

In his dream

Jungwon was located in the corner of his room, tears decorating his face as he tries hard and aggressively make them stop. To make them stop pouring out so freely.

He sniffled and for the 100th time, he wiped his eyes, which were now red, puffy and sore, with his sleeves.

Why was he crying? Because his condition had gotten worser, there was no chances of his survival, and he needs to tell Niki and all his friends (Apart from Sunoo and Heeseung)

What was their reaction going to be? That was the question floating on Jungwon's mind. He didn't know how to come clean to all of them, so he decided to do one at a time.

He called Niki, since he wanted Niki to be the first to know.

After the quick, but sad phone call, Niki had agreed to come over, but what frightened Jungwon was that he had to argue with Niki to get him to come over. Did he not want to see him right now?

Niki sounded unbothered and it concerned Jungwon. I guess he was overthinking it.

After a long 20 minutes wait, Jungwon immediantly jolted up from hearing the sound of the door bell. The sound he has been waiting to here, but also dreading to hear.

It's now or never.

He rushes down and immediantly swings the door open, revealing a calm, but cold Niki.

Niki looked at Jungwon, as if they were strangers. This worried Jungwon as he felt his heart race from telling him the dreading news.

Jungwon sighed and put on his best "smile"

"Come in Niki"

Niki entered without replying and just went straight to the sitting room. Wow. Niki would normally shower him with hugs and kisses on the doorstep. Maybe he didn't feel like it today.

Jungwon then quickly made his way to the located room Niki was in, the sitting room and sat near Niki. To his dismay, Niki only sat further, making Jungwon almost question himself as to why he asked him to come over.

"Are you okay Niki?"

Niki looked at Jungwon with a questionable look towards him.

"Uh, yeah, I just don't get why you're sitting super close to me?"

Jungwon eyes widened.

"What do you mean, I'm your boyfriend, of course I can sit close to you"

Niki eyes widened as a stiffled laughter left his mouth.

"Jungwon, I should be asking if you're alright, we broke up 6 months ago, I have a girlfriend now"
