Madeline

Last night was so fun! Ava was pretty nice, her taste in hairstyles isn't my favorite but it suited her, straight hair let down. As me and Jasper left the rest of the squad to finish the tabata exercise we were doing together. I sighed after the exercise, I hate lying to my friends.....The track team didn't have anything scheduled last night. To be honest, me and Jasper were going to the principal's office. Melody is covering up for us since she's in the track team as well. We decided that if we got caught, we'd just say that we were on a date and were too embarrassed to say anything. As we reached the office, my uncle let us in and shut the door. Then he led us to another room behind a pillar, inside were our fathers and my uncle. I frowned, wondering what this is all about. The three men seemed to be listening to something. After a few minutes, my father stood up and told us that he sent the audio file to our watches. I took my earbuds out and selected the audio file and listened to it. Our watches aren't like normal watches, our watches are more.....high tech. Our fathers made it together and it's not on the market yet. The watch comes with a matching pair of earbuds and can be used in several ways. Anyway, when I clicked open the file, a raspy voice started talking. 

" This is a game for you and me. A game to test your strengths and wits, lives depend on you and lies will be told. An explosion takes place in this very school. It awaits when and where the midnight flower blooms." I looked around and saw all the others frowning as well.

"So.....this person puts a bomb in school and sees this as a game? Is this person sadistic?" Jasper growled.

"Dad, who is on this mission to protect the school?" I asked my dad.

"Well, we'll need your friends Melody and Violet. Melody is going to be good for art skills and cover ups, we want Violet to befriend a possible enemy." my dad answered.

"Anyone else?" Jasper inquired.

"No, not now...." Jasper's dad replied after a moment of thought.
"Hand this to all your female friends," my uncle said as he pulled out ten or so bracelets.

"It's a tracker, it will be able to alert us if someone tries to attack them. Tell Jessica and Melody about the mission, it's a secret, we don't want anyone panicking."

"Got it," I said.

"I will excuse you from classes sometimes, but you guys have to keep up with the schoolwork" my uncle told us.

"Yes, sir." Jasper replied stiffly.

"We will send you guys more gadgets with instructions later," Jasper's dad added.

"Dad, I think we should also recruit the new student Ava, because she's new and she does gymnastics so she's very nimble and besides, she can help spy on people," I suggested.

"Ok, but we can't allow too many people to know about this, enemy agents are everywhere," my dad answered.

"So, now the members are me, Madeline, Violet, Melody, and Ava?" Jasper said.

"Yes," answered all three men.

"You can choose four more people," added my uncle.

"Ok, we will tell you guys about our choices later," me and Jasper answered.

"Sharpen your weapons, and don't tell yet," my father whispered into my ear, just as we were about to leave. I nodded with a little smile. He handed me a little metal locket and hugged me. I grinned and basically skipped out the room.
