You walked out the house, after what you pulled a couple of minutes ago, you didn't feel like staying in the Yagami household.
You pull out your phone, and call Ls burn phone number. It rings a couple times, and then picks up. "Hello, Mishiko." He says. "Hey, Ryuzaki, do you mind if I stay at the suite tonight? I don't really feel comfortable with Lijt at the moment." You say. "Of course, Watari will arrive shortly to pick you up." You thank him, and close your phone, putting it in your pocket.
A few minutes later, a black car shows up, and Watari steps out, opening the door for you, and letting you in. Stepping in, you take in the smell of sugar, smiling.
Arriving at the suite, you get through the lobby and knock on the door. "Come in." You hear a voice, and you walk in, noticing L crouching on the couch. 'I could kill this man right now, but I won't..' your intrusive thoughts kick in, remembering how you found his name a while back. Sitting next to him, he turns to you. "Hello, Mishiko, do you mind telling me why you dont feel comfortable with Light?" He asks. You look away, 'I said I won't interfere, but I suppose telling him a little bit wouldn't hurt.' You look down shyly, trying to make it more dramatic, "Well, I thought Light and I were dating, but all of the sudden this girl comes to his house, claiming she's his girlfriend.. and I just can't believe Light would cheat on me.." you look back at L, his face blank. Suppressing your laugh, you wait for his answer. "I'm sorry to hear that, Y/n." He uses your real name. "If you ever need someone I'm always here." He tried to be sympathetic. You smile, and hug him. He tenses, not sure what to do. Wrapping his arms around you, he nuzzles his head in your shoulder. "Is.. this a hug?" you hear, muffled. You nod, and stroke his hair. "Yes, Ryuzaki.. yes.." he pulls back, and leans in, studying your eyes, you were centimeters away, your noses close to touching. "Ryuzaki.." you mutter, and he realizes your close proximity, but he shrugs it off, leaning in to make your noses touch. "Y/n, why don' I know your last name?" You smile, "Don't worry, L, you'll find out soon enough." You say, quietly. Sick of how close your lips were from eachother, you decide to close this small gap between you, taking Ls chin and bringing him into a kiss, it was much more passionate the kiss that the one you shared with Light, more loving, soft, lush. You pull back, noticing a blush across Ls face, and his eyes wide. It was a short kiss, not your first.. "I'm sorry, was that your first kiss...?" You look away, nervously. "Yes, Y/n..." he purred, taking your chin and facing your head towards him. "No need to apologize, I quite enjoyed it." He says. You clear your throat, glancing towards Watari, finally noticing him in the room. You shuffle where you were sitting, focusing on the work L was previously doing, "Anyway, let's work.." you say, and L snaps his attention back to the work, "Of course" he mutters.
You both stayed in a comfortable silence, occasionally talking about the information on the screen, after a while, it was around 10pm, and you were exhausted, L was sitting in his usual crouching position, and you subconsciously leaned on his shoulder, your eyes fluttering shut, you were calm, peaceful.
———————- a few hours later ——————
"....if....Kira.. still a possibility...second Kira might try to contact him somehow." You slowly wake up, still leaning on Ls shoulder, but with the task force with us, excluding light. It was now around 11:45pm. "Very well." Soichiro says. The door opens, and you look up, L noticing you woke up, and muttering to you, "It's alright, you can rest." You lay your head back down on his shoulder, now looking towards the door. "Hey, Y/n, you woke up? I can hardly believe Ryuzaki is human, he never sleeps." Aizawa says. "I saw him sleeping in that exact same position the other day." Matsuda replies, and you chuckle. "No, I'm serious." L eats his popsicle.
At around midnight, you head home, thanking L for allowing you to stay for a bit. Arriving back home, you close the door quietly, and head upstairs to go to your room, and right when you walked past Lights room, his door opened, and he noticed you, you tried to quickly go past, and go to your room, but he grabbed your arm. "Y/n." He says. You look back, with a blank expression on your face, "Wheres your new girlfriend, Light?" He sighs, "She's not my girlfriend, Y/n, you know that. And she went home half an hour ago." You roll your eyes. "So, what do you want?" You ask, annoyed. "Y/n, why did you tell Misa you were my girlfriend?" He asks, "Well, you said that I was your girlfriend in Aoyama, so I figured you'd like that. What, is there a problem? I'm not good enough to be your girlfriend?" You mock, tilting your head. "Y/n," he pulls you inside of his room, "You know that I love you very much, but this girl has the shinigami eyes, and now she wants to be my girlfriend, do you mind if I pretend to date her? We'd still be together, bu-" you put your finger over Lights mouth, and shoosh him, "It's alright, I have my eyes on Ryuzaki right now, anyway." You wink, walking out of Lights room. He's left, dumbfounded at what you just said to him, he runs his hand through his hair, and sighs. Ryuk cackles, "Oh, Light, you're obsessed with that girl aren't you!" He laughs, and Light shoots him a glare.
You, on the other hand, have a smirk across your face and walk into your room, changing into pajamas, reading a couple chapters of your favorite book, and heading to sleep.
