Tw. Self harm mention
Because of Axel rather intense agoraphobia (fear of crowds), he has to be homeschooled. It's more like how schools had online classes during the prime of COVID.
If anything, he probably tried going to school his first day of 8th grade. Unfortunately he couldn't handle going through the hallways. He ended up vomiting on the spot and have a panic attack where he was standing. He never went back to school.
Axel feels intense guilt because of his phobia. His family can never go out to eat in a restaurant or go to anywhere fun. He feels like he's just dragging them down. He can't even have a huge dinner with his family without shutting down and lose the ability to talk.
He always beats himself about it... He has taken it out on himself on occasions.
